Fluval A1175 Plastic Air Control Valve for Aquariums

Amazon Customer: For $1.49 don't expect a wide range of flow rates. As other reviews have noted, the small plastic valves clicks to either a full throttle, medium, or off position. There's not much room for other micro adjustments it seems. Otherwise it works well, if you enjoy those settings. I think it's fine. Gave 4 stars only for price. Otherwise 2.5 stars for function.

Catherine B.: These were very affordable and were easy to use. Just cut your air tube and connect them with this valve and you have a built in switch to adjust the water flow in your tank. Perfect foe my bettas!

Amber Elyse: Got this for the Betta tank, it works but the valve doesn't have as much variation as I hoped. Seems like it only has two settings: not enough bubbles and way too many bubbles.

Shane Mullins: Ok, I gotta be honest here. I know this is plastic and I know it doesn’t cost very much. But I just think Fluval could have made it somewhat better. Listen, I have been buying Fluval products for around 25 years. I like the company, and I’m a fan of their products. You can pretty much be guaranteed that when you buy a Fluval item, it will be great. Now I didn’t really need this air control valve as I have dozens of these things floating around my supply bins. But when I seen this Fluval valve had a large size wing adjuster I was intrigued and wanted to give it shot. Now this thing looks pretty cool. The picture is a little deceiving and makes it look larger than it really is. It’s super tiny. Don’t get me wrong. This thing works good, but it is a bit tight to get the wing to swivel. I think my main beef with this is that it just feels very cheap. When I holding it, it doesn’t feel like an item that Fluval would slap their name on. I don’t know, maybe I’m just being nit-picky here, but I’m just not impressed with it. Honestly? I would love to see Fluval design a metal version of this. Same design and specs. I would buy one of those up real quick. And no, I’m not...
