Lynnjo: These cutting boards are the best. They are small enough to slide into my cabinet but big enough for whatever I need them for. Durable and east to clean. I use one for meats, another for veggies and have an extra one for whatever. Will def buy more in future

Casperr: These are literally thinner than the cardboard box they came in.

They have a "sticky" back... which somehow manages to feel lubricated on our marble countertop.

For an item whose entire function is to protect your countertop from knives, I have no idea how these are even being sold. Granted, we didn't actually try cutting on them because we knew immediately we wanted to send them back, but given that they felt and looked *exactly* the same as a cheap pack of disposable placemats I can only imagine that every positive reviewer has been sent either an entirely different product, or have glued these to their counter whilst cutting with nothing sharper than a butter knife.

Doctor Gangreene: Thin plastic, not sure if it's HDPE or PVC.
A bit flimsy on its own, I recommend using it on a RIGID, FLAT surface like a countertop or on top of another (more rigid) cutting board.
Nice to have several in a pack. You can use the icons on each to designate them for specific tasks - i.e. if you are cooking for a vegan AND a steak-eater so the meat won't be cut on the same board as the veggies. Or use them all interchangeably, keep the spares as backups for when the first one inevitably fails (in a few years).

The top cutting surface is smooth for easy cleaning. The bottom surface is a grid lattice, which helps give it friction so it won't slide around on the counter while you're using it. This grid can be hard to clean though, if you get bits of food stuck in there it may take a bit of effort to remove it completely. Fair trade though, for providing some stability while I'm cutting something on top of it.

These will eventually need to be replaced, because of two factors.
1. Plastic... exposure to sunlight causes a reaction that slowly over a few years makes it more fragile and brittle.
2. Used as intended... over time, the knife will slice through the...

VERK: I was skeptical about these because they are thin but after a few uses I find them useful. I put one on top of my pull out cutting board and cut up my produce or meat. No mess on the board and can use these to pour the cut up pieces directly into the pan. Then easy to clean in the sink or the dishwasher.
