If you're looking for a reliable and comfortable fishing kayak, the Sevylor Coleman Colorado 2-Person Fishing Kayak is the perfect choice. With its innovative design, superior quality materials, and generous size, you'll be able to enjoy hours of fishing in comfort and style. This kayak has been rated one of the best Fishing Kayaks available, and its reviews speak for themselves. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced angler, you'll be sure to appreciate the features and performance of this kayak.Frank Urban: It is impressive as it is good and sturdy but very disappointing as they no longer sell the trolling motor to fit the mount on the kayak. If this is important, don't buy. Also the holders for the fishing poles are poorly situated as you constantly hit them while paddling no matter how hard you try to avoid them.

TylerTyler: Got this so I could go fishing alone, or take my son(s) out fishing with me. I highly suggest getting the sevylor pump, or a pump capable of inflating up to the manufacturer's suggested PSI of 1.5. I originally bought a coleman 12v quick pump, but it turns out that can only go to about .5/.6 psi. This kayak has decent room, plenty of storage, if you want to extend your legs in the back see you will likely be pushing up past the front seat, but you can sneak them past the sides of the seat, however I have yet to use this with another adult(I'm 5' 11").
It handles waves well, and feels pretty sturdy; it's quite hard to tip. It is however slow to paddle, and the Berkley rod holder mounts can get in the way of your paddle if you're using a kayak paddle. If you do plan on using a kayak paddle, I suggest going with something long like 250cm, otherwise a single paddle does allow you to avoid the mount a lot more. Because this has high sides, it also catches the wind rather easily. You can run it with a keel or without one, but I suggest using it.
This kayak isn't perfect, but I am pretty happy with it. Considering I bought it for fishing, it does the job just fine. I can...

Tfrost1997: I got this to traverse lakes and rivers and do some basic fishing. For the money it is terrific value. It has so many things to like - lots of pockets for gear (even the seats have a built in compartment for stuff), paddle holders, rod holders and a detachable rudder. It has Boston valves so easy to inflate/deflate... takes me about 15 minutes get out, unfold, inflate with a 12 volt pump. It's also pretty easy to fold up and get back into the supplied bag. I think the covering it has is pretty tough, the seats are pretty comfortable and there's an adequate about of room for two (if you're not too tall. It's also pretty light to carry as compared to a non-inflatable kayak and storage is easy.
The cons: it's slow... the flexibility comes at a price. Where solid kayaks knife through the water, this one does not so it takes longer to get to your fishing hole. Complicating matters is it's weight and design if it's windy... it can be tough going in any decent wind. Lastly, while I appreciate the mount for a trolling motor, you have to buy their trolling motor which, if you try, you can't because they're not in stock... anywhere. And, I already have one. It would be better if they...

TGTG: I'm in my 3rd season using this kayak. I use it for fishing. So I'm often on the lake for 6 hours at a time. I found the inflatable rear seat too low. So I replaced it with a fold-able beach chair. This sits securely between the pontoons and sits about 2 inches higher than the original seat.
Wind is an issue. Because of its high profile in the water, any wind over about 10 mph makes the kayak unmanageable.
Last year I added a Sevylor trolling motor. This motor attaches to the right pontoon and works great for slow trolling. Because it is not mounted to anything rigid, keeping it vertical in the water requires some effort.
In the 2nd year, the kayak began taking on water. The rubber bottom is quite durable. But with time the upper nylon sides begin to leak. I treated the nylon sections with Star Brite Waterproofing for nylon tents. This solved the problem. I'm guessing the kayak should be treated a couple of times a year.
The baffles are quite durable but they can spring leaks along the seams. I've had to patch small leaks a couple of times. It is relatively easy to pull out the baffles, repair the leaks and put them back. I use PVC cement with a PVC patch.
An air...

Starman: My son and I took the Colorado kayak out today for the first time. I got it for him so we could do some bass fishing. We had approx. 400 pounds in the kayak (two grown men, life preservers, etc.... no tackle as this was a test run to see how it performed). We embarked in about 6 inches of water without touching bottom. Once we figured out its characteristics we were able track it in a straight line with each of us rowing from opposite sides. Without hurrying, we crossed a 1/4 mile lake in about 10 minutes, we decided a motor would not be needed because the battery weight would probably bump up against the weight limit. It glides very nicely across the water rowing. Wind did make a difference in its tracking, I would not recommend setting out when it's very windy. We dealt with 10 mile an hour gusts with no real issue. It's very easy to paddle even though the sides are pretty high. We spent three hours on the water and only pulled in because we felt the effects of sunburn. Neither of us were tired even though we did a lot of paddling.
There is plenty of space for preservers and tackle (especially if you don't have a battery box), plenty of webbed areas for holding smaller items....

DH: Update:
It's been about 4 years now and this thing is still going strong. The airbags have shifted a bit inside the cover so it doesn't sit as pretty as it did new, but it still as solid as ever. This is a super stable and comfortable kayak. Sometimes I don't even take it out with the seats and just kneel to paddle. I always kneel even with the seats in because I get a lot more power and don't have to worry about cracking my knuckles on the plastic pole holders. When I get to where I want to go I just lounge it in sideways.
Just note, this thing doesn't like wind. It can be quite a battle trying to go against a moderate wind and on a windy day it can take you across the lake or back to shore in a hurry.
Original Review:
Very durable and really easy to inflate. I like that the valves don't need attachments, which is going to make pump durability a lot better. I would prefer a different method of packing than shoving it into a bag, maybe a strap system so you don't need perfect folds. The pole holders really get in the way of paddling. But over all a really nice and comfortable Kayak.
