When they float into the shade they don't work and when they are in the sun they work perfectly. One of the interchangeable heads didn't work very well but the single nozzle makes the water shoot up about 18-20 inches. I put one of the other heads on the other fountain and it was shooting up about 15 inches. So cute. If they poop out as other people have complained it's okay. For now they make me happy!

Kelley J:
The fountain arrived in an unmarked box, which further opened to reveal about 30 parts with no assembly instructions. I did the best I could, not realizing the 12mm foam disc I had to install had a peel-off adhesive side. I didn't peel the thing, and plugged a fitting into the center hole like the picture. Nothing fit together right. But, I set it afloat in the wading pool I have in my suburban backyard and it gave a few half-hearted spurts. It was an overcast Monday, so I left it in the pool.
Tuesday morning, I couldn't believe my eyes. There were pieces of fountain everywhere on the thankfully dead lawn. Something had gone totally Hulk-Smash on the fountain. Whatever it was became enraged when it discovered the top foam disc had an adhesive backing...from the fur pattern trapped in the glue, I'd say it was a raccoon, and it freaked out when it got a foam disc unpeeled, lol. I did what I could to reassemble it. That is why this isn't about the fountain's actual performance. From what I've seen, unless the sun is directly overhead, as in you are living someplace in deepest Amazon forest or African desert, you are never going to get full performance from...

Tineza: I purchased this for my concrete bird bath. The suction cups on the bottom are small and don't really work but I seen where people piled up rocks to keep it from moving. Worked great and gave my bees a landing place. Works great and does exactly what I wanted it for. I did have an issue with the first one I purchasex and I contacted the seller and they told great care of me. They were quick and professional. I will buy from this seller again if and when I need to.

Ray's Missus:
Let me start off by saying that this did attract the birds, so that's the plus. Also, even when the sun was going down, it still spurt water every few seconds. Not high, but enough to keep the water moving.
The minuses are:
1- The suction cups on the bottom are so small that they are pretty much useless. Also, they are to one side of the base so the unit is lopsided and water shoots over the side of the bird bath. I have tried putting a stone under the side that leans, but then the suction cups pop off. Once it starts to float, most of the water is pumped out of the bath.
2- Once you put a head on the stem, it is impossible to remove. I thought I would see which one I liked and when I tried to switch them, I can't get the head off.
3- On a windy day, there will be no water left in the bird bath because it shoots so high and blows all over the ground.
I really think that no matter who you buy a bird bath fountain from, if it looks like this one, it probably was made by the same company and will have the same problems. I'm still trying to make it work for me.

Carla Thompson: The media could not be loaded. I had one of these before but it quit working. I probably didn't clean it properly, so that was my fault. I had that one in a bird bath. This one is in my "fish pond" in my fairy garden. (The "pond" is just a fish shaped snack bowl, which I keep some rocks on the bottom and a stick across it in case insects fall in so they won't drown.) I have to change the water often to avoid mosquitoes, so this will hopefully be easier to keep clean. The instructions for putting the little parts together aren't exactly clear, but I must have done it right because it works. It only works when the sun shines on it, so put it in a location that has lots of sun.
