Dmitri Lake: Been using these for a month, they're pretty sharp out of the box and easy to sharpen with the tool provided. I have never been able to sharpen knives properly before because it's so hard to get the angle right, but I love the sharpening tool that comes with this set! It was intuitive for me to line up the angle of the handle perpendicular to the counter, follow the directions to get them super sharp. I think with hand washing and proper care they will last a long time. They feel ergonomic in the hand and well balanced. Sturdy, not flimsy feeling. Definitely recommend, for $30 I feel like it's a great deal!

Thalore: We bought 2 sets, one for our home and one for our kids. Our set was fine and the knives were very sharp and feel very well crafted. Our kids knives were fine but the block had one of the knive holes that is too small. We know this because ours looks very different. Seems like a QC/QA issue as the hole seems to have a short divot where it was supposed to be scut but wasn't.

Carolyn Baggott: I bought these to replace an old incomplete set. All of the knives come sharp and the sharpener in the set is an added bonus. The scissors in the set are actually one of my favourites. They are easy to clean and are safe in the dishwasher. My parents even bought a matching set because they liked mine so much when they visited.

MWZ: I bought these for our outdoor kitchen, but liked them enough that I put them in the main kitchen. I've had them for a few weeks. They are very sharp when delivered, with no obvious QC issues. They are heavy, if you like a light weight knife, especially the chefs knife these aren't for you. But if you like some heft they are great. I have a vintage carbon steel chefs knife that I regularly use. This is a very old German knife which being carbon steel rusts and stains. But it's got the best feel, and is quite long which I like for shopped salad etc. The Farberware knife is 4" shorter but weighs as much. I use it for anything thats going to stain my better knife, tomatoes, lemons etc. I don't ever put the chefs knife in the dishwasher but I do put the utility knife in. No rust or staining. All in all I recommend this set, its a very good value. There are certainly better knives around for much more money, but for the price of this set you can't go wrong.
