Don't wait any longer, upgrade your fan control today with the Fanimation CW7WH Ceiling Wall Control!Rick & Amelia Timms: I asked a question about this switch being wired as a three-way switch, a customer said "yes, my electrician" wired it that way. I was waiting on a reply from the company, and bought the switch anyway. I received this from Fanimation today, "Thank you for contacting Fanimation. Unfortunately our wall controls are not designed to be wired that way." I need a switch that can control multiple fans (thanks to a contractor combining them on one switch, and with multiple switches controlling them in a 3-way switch configuration. However, he installed a switch that only handles 1.5 amps, one fan, so I'll have to eliminate one of the switches. Not a big deal, and not Fanimation's fault. Disregard customer's response to my question that says it can be wired as a three-way switch.

JH: i had bought a different brand that was a bit less expensive but it caused my ceiling fans to make a humming noise when they were running. This switch worked like a champ and no noise. I would definitely recommend it.

Lou: Fan speed pull cord switches are a PIA. Needed a wall switch for two fans but the big box store wall switches will work with ONLY one fan. I searched internet for multiple fan switch. Amazon had this product and it was a bit pricy yet cheaper than other options. Switch works perfectly and looks high quality.

J. Stimson: The CW7WH fan control has had its appearance changed and no longer looks like the product photo (white with an off-center square sliding knob). It now looks identical to the CW5WH (grey with a centered wide oval sliding knob).
Good: When used to control two Hampton Bay ceiling fans with pull-chain speed control, neither this controller nor the fans hum -- unlike the Lutron multi-fan slide controller, which causes the fans to hum loudly at low and medium speeds.
Bad: The light grey color will not match your white wall plate.
Also bad: at least when used to control 2 fans, the "low" (top / #3) setting is pretty fast -- about half as fast as the maximum speed. It's much faster than the fan's built-in low speed using the pull chain.
I chose this controller over the CW5WH because of the appearance. Since the appearance is now the same, I'm going to give the CW5WH a try, since it's $20 cheaper and maybe since it's designed for two fans the speeds will be more appropriate.
