David: I had the older nylon ones before. The best part about these Croakies is that they work great for being on the water but also are not very visible. you get safety of having them on, without the bright colour look. Also, the tightening system is so easy to and effective. These are essential for boating

cdnrider: I use this product on my sports sunglasses, I wanted something that would keep them in place when I started sweating, but the XL are too big and do not close enough, for them to be snug.

Tom Waddell: These are the best eyeglass holders and would never buy any other. I use them for hiking, biking, kayaking, and XC-Skiing. Have rolled several times in a sea kayak and never lost my sunglasses. Too long/short complaints mean the person ordered the wrong size. Glasses fall off mean the person didn't use the right size ends or didn't make their glasses earpiece big enough to use with the smallest end. This is easily done by wrapping a short piece of duct tape around the earpiece. If you are a little technical, use some heat shrink tubing as I did. Either way, the end pieces are deep enough to cover any tape/shrink tubing you use. Hard to adjust complaints mean the person didn't rinse off the holders after being out on the ocean. I found out the hard way that when the saltwater dries the salt residue prevents the slider from moving. Submerge the holder in a glass of water overnight and problem solved. Can't say enough good about these holders and am about to order two more sets for spare glasses.

R. Pierson: I bought these to keep our glasses from slipping down our noses, but they don't snug tightly enough to our heads to do that, so I returned them. However, they are well made and I love this design, since I cannot stand anything hanging down the back of my neck. I wish they had worked out.
The packaging was fine and I like that they have different sized adapters to accommodate different sized side pieces.

TexTex: Excellent and just what I've been seeking for a long time. If you are tired of the heavy weight and feel of standard rope-type retainers (that Croakies and others also make), then this is a product you should consider. I can't feel them at all when they are on because the line is so light and thin. As with most retainer designs, if you have these fully extended and sit back against a high back chair, you will feel the tug of the retainer as it contacts the chair-back. But a cool alternative to this particular product is that with a simple pull of the line, you can take up all the slack and have it virtually right behind your head. In that position there is no extra line dangling behind you to contact things when you sit down and lean back.
Bottom-line, I will be ordering more of this product for other glasses. I purchased the 18" version and it is just right to have room to extend for easy lifting around the head. It also contracts (via the design) to allow it to almost come right up next to the back of my head, and I wear a large in hat-size. I've only been using this product for a couple weeks, but use it every day (all day) and have not had a single issue with the...

Dr. Andy: This is a really great product. I think it adds a sense of style to the typical nylon string or neoprene sunglass retainer. I was wearing one of the ugly old style retainers but always felt stupid doing it. I have spendy Maui Jim and Smith sunglasses. I have to wear something because if I don't , I end up breaking or scratching them when they fall off my head. I like to prop sunglasses on top of my head or hat when I am not wearing them. Inevitably they end up tipping off my head or I will spike them into the cement when I remove my hat.
So, this summer I came across this product in Santa Barbara. I purchased the fixed length model. They work well and look good. I like how you can adjust the angle of the cable so it doesn't rest on your neck. I just purchased this model a few weeks ago. It is even sweeter because--- it's adjustable. I like to wear it tight to my head. I have short hair so it never eats my hair.
Word to the wise, these will not keep your sunglasses on if you dive in water or get rolled by a wave. The little ball and socket joint popped out when I dove off a dock and the glasses came right off. Also, I got rolled by a BIG wave in San Diego that lifted...
