Pamela W.: I am on the cusp for height. I bought the shorter trek pole and found I had to extend it fully to get the right angle. Next time I would buy the longer one. The poles are easy to collapse when traveling and easy to extend once the pole is adjusted. I was able to use one pole like a cane for stability when walking my dog or carrying groceries. The trek poles are sturdy and have survived getting stuck in a closing car door without a ding. I do wish the carrying case had a place to store the pole tips. The bag of tips slip out of the well made pole wrap.

Carly Velez: Had tried a few other poles that seem cheaply built. For the price and just for an average hiker these poles are great. The bag that comes along with them make storing easy with all the tips for various terrain. Used them hiking and snow shoeing.

I am not an extreme hiker and could not figure out how to lock out the pole fully. You have to fully extend the pole at the handle for the pole to lock out and stay together.

For the price a solid buy. Would Recommend.

Amazon Customer: Got them for $28 after the 30 percent off coupon. assuming the coupon is still active they aren't a bad deal. I wanted a really cheap set to try out trekking poles to see if I would like using them before investing in an expensive carbon fiber set. after purchasing them however, and loving them, I realized that REI actually has a very similar set that sells for $25, and some middle of the road options that are much nicer for $40-50 a set. IMO just go to an REI if you have one local to you and then you can feel the differences in person.

I wont go hiking without trekking poles again though. They take the strain off all the small stabilizing muscles in your ankles that usually tire out first. I feel like I can go twice as far and elevation changes are not nearly as tiring. And if you are carrying a lot of weight, your backpack also somehow feels significantly lighter.

Ed. M.: No pongo 5 estrellas al producto por 2 razones:
i) es necesario poner un seguro en los puntos de sujeción del bastón (area de armada del baston) si por alguna razón al bastón tu le manipulas como si fueras la lanzarlo se sale la parte movil del bastón
ii) se debe poner un sujeción/seguro cuando se cambie de puntad en especial la punta para asfalto no permanece fija.
Las dos sugerencias deben ser consideradas desde la perspectiva de seguridad para el usuario
