Express Water Ultraviolet Reverse Osmosis Water Purification System

Phunction: We use to use one of these at our last house, but a much simpler version. Decided to get this one at our new place to help with the micro-plastics. Water tastes great and the setup was fairly simple. We have it supplying our fridge for ice and water. The line runs a good 20 feet but the pressure is still excellent, even through it still goes through the fridges filter. Would recommend.

Robert L: Update: Express Water had a manager reach out and resolve my issues. Seems they have a software problem that caused some delay. I must say that the system is working as it should and I'm completely satisfied with its performance. Five stars.

I bought the full system and had it professionally installed in a dedicated area for ease of filter replacement. The only issue I had was that the auto shut off cartridges got wet during installation making them unusable. When installed they cause the system to cut off if any wetness is detected, very important. So I called and got a nice lady who said she would send a package of three and took my info. Later she emailed and ask for a copy of my Amazon invoice. I took a photo and sent it back attached to the reply. She emailed back saying she couldn't read it and ask that I resend. I did. I found it strange that she couldn't read it as it was clear on my send copy but. Then no response. I called the company back but got a recorder and left a message explaining and ask for a return call. No call now and it's been over a week. No follow up email. So the auto cut off doesn't work. I'm busy and don't have time for this "customer service"...

Michael BagnascoMichael Bagnasco: I didn’t post a review when I first bought it, I’ve waited a year and here are my thoughts

1. Filtration: does everything it says it does and does it well. This was a gift to my in laws and they didn’t change any filter for a year. DO NOT FORGET TO CHANGE THE FILTERS. See my pictures.

2. Taste: like the fountain of youth. The water is almost sweet and tastes better than purified water.

3. Ease of set up: not the easiest, but also not too difficult if you’re mildly competent. The documentation they give you is very extensive. Read it front to back before you even start unwrapping everything else. The hoses are color coded so you’d have to be thick in the head to mess that part up. The only part that may give you trouble is drilling into your drain pipe and counter top of you do not already have a hole for a faucet.

4. Changing filters: easy. Took me less than an hour.

5. Noise: can make noise due to air on first set up but it goes away after flushing.

6. UV bulb. It gets hot, like others have said. Honestly, it’s my only regret. We’re on city water and frankly, unless you have a very specific need for it, you probably don’t...

Thomas: We have reviewed various machines for drinking to home systems. We seem to continue to purchase alkaline bottled water at Costco. This system has been great with water clarity, taste and the test to compare all 3 of our water options. We are 100% happy, the replacement of these filters does not bring a return of investment but we will know for sure after we see how often we need to change it. However to stop buying bottles of water to carry home and garbage of amount of plastic we throw away, this is well worth it. We have the UV and alkaline add-ons to these filters and at 100 gdp. The test results come back blocking over 200 contaminates compared to our well water. 1 higher then costco alkaline bottles. We are so happy, we are giving the whole home system from express water serious thought.

Tammie: I was so nervous about installing this and the amount of parts seems overwhelming, but it was so easy!! I really took my time to double check things and I watched a couple of the video clips to make sure I knew what I was doing, I could put the next one together in 30 minutes I’m sure!

A few tips: there are two red hoses, one was hidden within the filters. It didn’t show to put the little blue clips on the faucet attachment and maybe on some other hoses, but they should go on every hose connection. After drilling into the drain, I used the drill bit to slide through the cuff and into the hole to make sure they were lined up, it so hard to be sure otherwise. I had a small leak and it turned out to be the membrane, which was pre-assembled. I would suggest unclipping that hose, sliding the membrane out and tightening it a smidge before you water test… it wasn’t hard to do with a little water but I wish I had done it before. I would also suggest giving little tugs to double check the other pre-assembled hoses. I didn’t mount mine bc it stands so well on its own, and I also didn’t shorten the hoses bc I was nervous about creating leaks… all and all I was glad I...

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: I am trying to improve my health. Turning 60 next month. And I need to drink a lot of water. So I ordered the system with extra filters.

Wouldn't you know it the filters came in before the system did! I have older style kitchen cupboards, and I did not want to maintain the system squished under these cupboards. So I have mounted them on the outside, I own my house, and because I can! There was only two screws to hang the system on.

I wanted the clear water for my Keurig and for drinking straight, so I didn't mount it under or at my sink.

The first flush of 4 I did, the water was sparking clear as I poured it down the drain. The tea I had last night was more flavorful than before. This morning's 4 cups of green tea was quite enjoyable.

The instruction manual is very detailed. Don't miss a step, especially don't forget tightening the ROM filter. It was the only spot that leaked a bit after I thought I was done. The included wrenches were perfect, but the cylinder is slippery when wet. I will be building a cover for the whole thing to keep little people away from it.

El tanque de almacenamiento es de 10 litros y la membrana RO es de 378 Litros por día (100 GPD) que es la más duradera. La lámpara UV se alimenta a 110V. Incluye sensor de fugas, conector de 1/2" con derivación y llave de paso a 1/4" y mangueras con código de colores para facilitar la instalación además de un buen manual ilustrado. Es el único sistema que incluye etapa de Luz Ultravioleta y etapa alcalina en México. El agua alcalina no se recomienda para máquinas de hielo, por lo que se conectan antes de la etapa alcalina. Sin embargo se requiere experiencia en la instalación. Antes de comprar recomiendo que se documenten, hay excelentes videos en la red (fresh water systems) debido a que los sistemas de ósmosis inversa en México requieren de una bomba auxiliar y un medidor de presión para que operen eficaz y eficientemente.
