George Jones: Lee Strobel writes about his interviews with educated and informed Christian leaders concerning the Biblical revelation about the existence of Heaven. He also has interviewed "ordinary" people who have experienced "near death" experiences, or have actually died and had first-hand experience with the reality of life on the other side of death. Most of what he shared wasn't new to me, but rather affirming in what I believe the Bible teaches about Heaven and Hell. There were a couple of concepts concerning the mind and the brain that I didn't quite understand, but overall, I found his interviews to be supportive of my personal beliefs as a Christian.

sarieke bok: After reading 'The Case for Christ', which pleasantly surprised me, I decided to buy this title. Strobel is an easy read, it's as if he takes you on the investigation himself. I like how with every new meeting of an expert he describes the room and the person, but as the book continued, I wasn't impressed much with the 'evidence' he provides. Interviewing experts who say 'when I imagine heaven, I think of..' is not evidence for me..

Susan Barreau: I am sure everyone who reads this book will enjoy it, as Lee Strobel certainly leaves no stone unturned as a Journalist searching for the truth! You may remember him from his book "The Case for Christ" where he set out to search for the facts that would show that people (his wife included) who believed in Christ were being misled, as it was all a fallacy. What he actually found turned out to prove to him that Christ really was real!!
His wife was right! That book was made into a great movie. Maybe this book should be made into a movie too!

Aliyna C: Not enough is written about heaven, so “The Case for Heaven” is a welcome addition. I am also surprised how little the topic of heaven is taught in church. I do not recall a Sunday sermon devoted to heaven in my 48 years as a church goer.

It is not easy to always know what to make of heaven. Does one interpret literally or figuratively what the bible has to say? Sanctified imagination is necessary to weave all that the bible teaches with what we understand and experience of our loving Heavenly Father. Randy Alcorn’s “Heaven” does this particularly well, stirring within me a childlike sense of wonderment, joy and anticipation even as I grow into my sunset years.

The Case for Heaven adds an important dimension to books like Randy Alcorn’s Heaven. It augments sanctified imaginations of heaven with reason and evidence. Substance is being added to things not seen. It is not just us christians who believe that God has set eternity in our hearts. As Lee points out, “the quest for salvation (without God) is at the heart of every great philosophical system”. Dorsetwanderer: A great book which explains deep theology in a understandable way. Requires your full attention but is a very worthwhile read. Lots questions I had about heaven and hell are dealt with in a thorough way. Lee is ever the investigative journalist. Highly recommended.
