I’m a horse person so I enjoyed the books very much. It’s never fun reading or hearing about animals getting hurt or sick but these books are written so well with so much compassion. And I learned quite a few things I never knew after having horses for over 30 years.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It's an easy read that provides a lot of insight into the daily life of a veterinarian. Each chapter is short and describes a different event, some with a happy ending, some not but all interesting.

Equine veterinary stories in S.E. U.S.A. told by the husband of the principal of a horse veterinary practice. I love the contrast here between these yarns and the Herriot stories from Yorkshire: how times have changed; the advances in technology and the treatment options. Visions od Herriot et al operating in an open field on a horse or the need for specialised clinic treatment here. perhaps the stories might benefit from a little more insight into how the owners feel and react and interact with the surgeons. The author has a great honesty and ability to laugh at himself.

I really liked this book. Interesting, flowed well. I LOVED the relationship between the author and his wife. His wife seemed to have a gift for vet med as well. I've watched some of her videos as well as listened to some podcasts, and they are all well done. My only qualm about the book was how the author went out of his way SO much to protect the clients that it isn't quite reflective of the true reality of the life of a vet (and vet's husband). But, this wasn't too big of a deal, and I understand why he did what he did. All around great book. I'd love it if the author narrated the book for audible. I like his voice and delivery from the podcasts, and I'm sure an audiobook would be even better than just the print version.
