Spuddy Spud: Rogers is a somewhat forgotten old master of psychological therapies. Whatever your style of working, his empathic, compassionate and humanistic approach has something to offer. His approach to therapy in his own words makes a great deal more sense than any summaries of his work that you might read. It may not be a core text in clinical / counseling psychology courses these days, but I would encourage any qualified or training psychotherapist / counselor / psychological therapist to read it.

hrat: So now I have read some Carl Rogers. I had always wondered where the “totally accepting” school of psychotherapy came from. Quite different from traditional religion and quite different from Freudian analysis.

Amazon Customer: My book came on time and in better shape than described. It looks brand new! I took a chance on this dealer because they seemed newer. I am sure glad I did! Book was double wrapped in a bubble material. Carefully done. Very happy with purchase. Thank you!

Joshua Chase: There is nothing like that "new book smell." Currently enrolled and working towards my BA and then graduate degree(s) in Psychology, this book from Carl Rogers, the father of the person-centered therapy approach, will help broaden my knowledge and will be applied to my final research project and case study this term.

Sree M: The content of the book is old but good. I did not like the quality of the material though. The paper is so delicate that I do not think it wold not last the complete read. Hence returned before I stared the second chapter.
But I would buy an ebook or audible(when made available) as the book is great.
Amazon’s delivery and return service has been great as always. So +1 star.

Book lover.: This book is like having a great friend at home. Once you understand what Rogers is talking abut when he describes personal growth, dealing with difficult emotions and "the good life" (self-actualization), you can keep it handy to get plenty of support for your deeper psychological processes. Owning this book is like having a great friend at home 24/7 with whom you can find strength during difficult times and deepen your understanding of the wide spectrum of human realities and emotions.

Najam Saquib: In principal i agree with Carl Rogers about his Therapy practice and analogy drown about finding a personal self. But i think this is more like a Modern Wold (European) problem more than a general Human issue. I know Carl represent European culture and may be writing this book he have more European world in his mind. If we look more in indigenous civilizations or cultures, this is known from quite some time that Human are in principle good in nature. It is some time the environment which leads to some behavior which looks negative.
