Barry Mossip: This has been the most encouraging and enjoyable experience that I have read it a long time. I have been trained theology, been a pastor, missionary, and now chaplain. I had set out to write this exact content and now reading it I don’t need to write it. I just need to buy copies for the future family members that the Lord leads as I plant the good seed along the way. Please family members in Christ read this first and move forward to his other books it’s going to correct maybe misconceptions of our common belief. Blessings.

P.J.: This book and the Bible are the only two books you really need. Heiser breaks down the gospel to its most simple and beautiful message. Read it to find out what that is!

jbram07: Easy read and very understandable! I love Heiser (God rest his soul) and his clear approach to the basic purpose of why we're here. God just wants a family and we're all created to image Him. It's simple but we've made it so confusing and cluttered over time. This read was quick and easy, but it brings back the simplicity of why we're here and why we exist. A must read for anyone searching to answer that question or just a refresher for those of us that have been believers our whole life and just need some recalibration!

Michelle Johnson: I've read a lot of Christian books. This book is the most understandable book by far! I will re-read this again.
I'd recommend this book to everyone. The language is easy to understand from front to back. The author writes about his Christian experiences without being overly forceful and austere. He even makes the Biblical stories seem less confusing, at least for me. Whether you agree or disagree with what is written, I still hope people will find some comfort and hope that they aren't alone in this world. I also think it's good to focus on something that's not bad news, world wars etc.

Kathy: This book gives an overview of the Bible in practical and comprehensible terms. It tells the big picture story including parts that are confusing and difficult to piece together. The book additionally illuminates the spiritual beings who co-inhabit creation with us.(There have always been spots about this subject in the Bible I skip over because they make no sense to me. This book addresses many of those foggy parts.) It also helps us comprehend the fullness of God’s creation and being made in God’s image. (We should understand God’s design and principles in order to live fully and abundantly.) It teaches us what life as a believer entails and hammers home the rock solid truth of God’s love for us.

The Prairie ChroniclesThe Prairie Chronicles: I don't agree with everything Dr Heiser wrote in at least the first chapter or two, but the rest of the book is essential reading in my opinion.
Whether you're a new Christian or have been one for 60+ years, if you read only one book this month or year (besides the Bible), make it this book.
I think even agnostics should read this book.
Dr Heiser writes like he talks, and is easy to understand. This book seems like a talk with a friend (or professor).
An incredible amount of insight and thought-provoking and inspiration in 101 pages. I just went back over pages 61, 62, and 63 again - So much to unpack in those three pages, including how guilt impacts us, how many Christians have a 'soul-crushing internal life', how 'many genuine Christians live tormented, defeated lives, not because of the Gospel, but because of the way their guilt has distorted the clarity of the Gospel' - how some Christians only see their failures and sins, how wrong works based salvation is and why, and the list could go on.
I'll be buying extra copies to give to several people.

Reading this opened my eyes and now things i read in the Bible makes much more sense. I get it now!!
I wish i would have had this when i first became a christian. I think churches should have a copy on hand for new and existing believers.
