Steve P: Plenty of good info about both sides of Cyprus in this book - but it's outdated, being sold by Amazon in 2023 with a 2018 publication date. Nothing about Varosha opening up, Apostolos Andreas monastery's refurbishment being completed, etc. I suppose many travel book companies have struggled to update their information during the pandemic - I would suggest waiting until a new edition before buying this though....

sergio: the guide has all the tips you need to get prepared for your Cyprus trip. However, it is the 2018 version and you might be missing the latest updates (especially after covid). Also, there is not much information on public transport and how how to get from one city to another.

Beck: Another great Lonely Planet guide. Bought this for a recent trip to Cyprus and couldn't have asked for more. Love that it covers in detail both "sides" of the divided country. I always use these guidebooks in conjunction with traveller blogs and other (especially review) websites, but love having a hard copy with me on all my trips.
