Laura ThompsonLaura Thompson: Honestly was expecting the shark, but beyond design really thankful how much a life saver this is.It holds his bandages in place and isn't able scratch it out of place.

Virginia CarlisiVirginia Carlisi: Our cat unfortunately developed a food allergy. Before we identified the allergen, she would get itchy above her eyes and scratch until they became red, raw, and inflamed. We needed something to prevent her from rubbing her eyes while we figured out the allergen.

This thing is absolutely perfect, and it's an extra bonus that she looks so darned cute in it! This not only physically prevents her from rubbing her eyes with her front paws, it also somehow makes her more docile when she wears it. She's more likely to rest and relax. It's almost like she knows she shouldn't be rubbing her eyes and this thing reminds her to chill. Another added bonus, she does use it as a pillow when taking naps!

She could pull out of it if she really wanted to (cats are liquid after all), but she really doesn't mind it. I think she even kind of likes it. It's great to have this on hand because there are other times she has rubbed her eyes and made things worse, and we can just pop it on as needed. It's machine washable for easy cleaning.

The only downside to this product is it's not big enough to prevent the cat from scratching their face with their rear legs. Our cat will do this...

TomTom: This kept my neurotic cat from licking a spot on his chest. I wouldn't recommend it for any surgeries from the waist down as they can still reach those areas. But if there's a chest wound it's great! Also he looks so cute in it. Nice product.

Day Vid: The circumstance was much smaller than I expected…despite using the size charts. Was well stuffed though.

liz: The pineapple itself is well-made. Like other reviews say, the stretchy cord is too stretchy, and we had to remove it and put in a nonstretch cord. The cord itself was poorly constructed, and the push-tab plastic piece that keeps it tight was useless. We ended up having to tie it very tight to make it stay on. This is probably too small for a kitten 6mos or younger. Mine is about 4lbs and 6mos and this is almost too large a neck hole to keep on. However, if she were any larger, it wouldn't be big enough to prevent her licking her incision, so the proportions are a little off.

All that being said, once she got used to it, I think she kinda likes it. She's definitely vibing the neck pillow and using it to advantage that way. She hasn't tried to kick it off after the first few hours and it's been two days. It doesn't prevent her from licking her feet, and she can reach the belly incision if the green part isn't pointed down, but overall it's working.

Overall would recommend.

LibbyLibby: So much better than the classic e-collar issued by the vet. He now fixes me with a gaze of contempt, rather than fear. His comfort level has improved dramatically. He can eat and drink with ease, and it doesn't cause whisker stress. He's back to exploring and moving around. Two cons:
- Small note, cats are flexible liquid at their core. He can reach his back paws and rear with this cone, so it depends on the injury site. We got it to keep him from pawing at an eye infection, and it juuuust works for that.
- BIG note, the loop to tighten/loosen is a major choking hazard. I told myself I was being paranoid, no other reviews commented on that. But wouldn't you know, less than 2 hours into wearing it, he hooked his paw through the loop (I had tucked it up, clearly not well enough) and pulled it tight.
Solutions: cut the loop, and just add stopper knots to each side of the elastic. Or wrap it around the plastic eyelet. Not a big deal, easy fix, but I wish there was something mentioned on the product listing, or some kinda safety mechanism integrated into the collar (sleeve for the elastic? Button to wind it around?).

J LynneJ Lynne: We recently got our make kitten in neutered. They put him in this awful plastic cone, so we had to get him an alternative. This thing is awesome!! There is a significant difference in his attitude. He can eat much more successfully as well. After reading the reviews, we bought this under the pretense that there might be some issues with the stretchy string used. We tried it out, but he WAS able to wiggle out of it multiple times. To fix this, I took some thicker twine and braided it. I then looped it into a bobby pin, remove the stretchy string, and threaded it through the hole on either side. It’s pretty decently open, so I’m sure you could use something thicker or thinner as needed. The closing clasp can also be threaded through as well, so I took the braid and secured it with that. Again, we purchased this knowing that an adjustment may be needed, and with the non-stretch string, he cannot get it off. He can still lick his back paws and his tail, but not the genital area. Again, there is a clear and obvious difference in his attitude after using this product. He is about 10 lbs and is 7-8 months old
