TreeClaire: This is such a cute product, and I definitely recommend it for cats that aren't frail and maybe a little more muscular than my baby. She's healthy, not weak, old, or in post operation recovery, but I don't like how heavy that donut is. I don't think this would be good for a cat in recovery. There are better options out there.

UPDATE: AUG 1 2023 (5 stars to 4 stars)
After about a week, the sliding clip that tightens the opening doesn’t hold on its own anymore. It just slides down the strings easily if any pressure is applied, so our cat was able to loosen the hold and wiggle out of the donut. We have been able to improvise by tying the strings in different ways so she can’t as easily loosen it, but the sliding clip is pretty much useless now as it doesn’t grip anything in place. This knocks the review from 5 stars down to 4. That being said, I still think the donut is worth it for the comfort and visibility factors, but if the tightening clip included had been more durable and of a higher quality, it’d be perfect. So just be aware that, knowing most pets will need to wear this for extended periods, the clip currently included doesn’t seem to be adequate or functional for the amount of use that is expected. I’d encourage the manufacturer to upgrade that clip to greatly improve the function and longevity of the product. Thanks!

Donald BelcherDonald Belcher: Function - 4.5/5
My cat has overgroomed a chunks of fur on his belly and sides. The donut does its job keeping him from getting those spots. He's still able to groom his tail (although it's a bit difficult), so keep that in mind if that's one of your cat's hot spot.

Comfort - 5/5
My cat is still able to eat, drink, and sleep just fine. He would prefer using the previous without it, but it doesn't stop him. As shown in one of my pictures, he is still fully capable able of climbing onto his Pouting Perch on his cat tree. I can leave it on him for up to 4 hours at a time without a problem.

Ease of Use - 5/5
Easy and simple to put on and use. Whether your cat will cooperate depends, though. We have been using it daily for a month and he still tolerates it when I slip it on him. He only gives a half-hearted attempt to avoid me when I'm holding it, and he switches back to affectionate once the donut is on him. I guess putting it on is the worst part for him, but it's quick.

Safety - 4/5
The only safety concern for me is that he can get stuck in tight spaces. This is especially true early on when he didn't understand that the donut is flexible and will...

sarahsarah: This is so much better than the plastic cone given to me by the vets. He’s much more comfortable and walks around a lot better, without banging into everything and getting stuck! He sleeps better too as he’s able to just rest his head on the donut and it also enables him to eat better as I was having to take the cone off every time then put it back on after but this can just stay on all the time. He has managed to get his front legs through it a couple of times but on the whole he’s been fine. He can still lick his paws and back end so this is only good if you’re not wanting them to lick their upper body. My cat has a wound at the top of his front leg so this was perfect to stop him reaching it.

Pauline Kat’s: Article conforme à la description mais impossible de rester en place sur un chat non habitué, il l'enlève en 2 sec !
(Achat inutile dans mon cas !)

KatieKatie: My cat was a lot more tolerant of this than the cone. It made it a lot easier for her to move around, eat and drink. She seems to find it nice to sleep in. She did manage to take it off a couple of times -my only reason for giving 4 rather than t starts - but she doesn't really try to do this. The times it has happened have been if she gets a claw stuck and then accidentally removes it. I think it is a great alternative to a plastic buster collar but just be monitoring to ensure the cat can't remove I, especially if you are out and the cat is unsupervised. I have bought a second one as she made her first one slightly tatty (she had on constantly for 1 month). Would definitely recommend.

Ausome Autist: When installing this device on your fun-sized hellipanther, please ensure that you take the correct precautions.
Wear gloves. Very, very thick gloves. Vambraces are also probably a good idea, if you have any lying around.
Should you choose not to take my sage advice, make sure that you have a first aid kit to hand.
You're welcome.

RoeRoe: Our 13 year old cat has had some ear issues that won't heal due to his scratching. We had a plastic cone, that we had to trim down so he could eat & drink, from the vet's but he still would find edges of boxes or chairs to scratch & re open his wounds. So...I went on a hunt and found some adorable E collars, but a lot of them didn't prevent the scratching. Even the cones. Saw this, got a giggle and read through questions & comments regarding if the hind legs could reach the ears. I read that it didn't allow that, so I ordered it as a test. That plastic cone was just too much. We've had this on him for just about 24 hours.

Here are my findings.

1.) Can Absolutely drink & eat without fighting the donut

2.) He looks like an adorable nerd!

3.) He has tried sooooooooooo hard to reach his ear to scratch & is grumpy because he can't reach it!!!

4.) Did I say that he looks like an adorable nerd yet?!?

5.) Much easier to get to his ear for treatment.

The scratching has been our biggest concern. As once he reaches that ear, it is like a bloody massacre throughout any area he walks through, shakes his head through. It's...

NicolahNicolah: Smaller than expected even though in picture looked bigger despite ordering a small . This is first time on today & she wasn't pleased at all at first hence the look on her face in the picture . So early days to give a proper review although give it 5 stars for product quality . Really pleased with this . Would be ideal if they was removable covers & replaceable covers so to be able to keep it clean & washed regular . Super soft &even though she weighs 4 kg I'm happy I ordered this size . So far so good . She's loving the portable cushion as a pillow . It isn't rigid like cones . I would never use a cone from the vets again they actually cut into her skin . This allows her to eat & drink with no problems . I've not seen her use the litter tray yet although I've removed the door from the litter tray to be of ease for her whilst wearing this recovery pillow .
I bought this has she got into over grooming & scratching herself so much . After visit to the vets they stated that her over grooming will turn into a compulsion & is very hard for them to get out of . She's on James Wellbeloved biscuits & occasionally some wet food too . We've looked at...
