geoffrey teetor: It works extremely well for my needs. I rebuild / restore small but critical parts of exotic and antique automobiles. A lot of my work is carried out locked in a vise and the ability to place a good strong light wherever I wish is extremely advantageous.

DM: First…this is a bit smaller than it looks in the pictures. I was a bit surprised when I opened it. My first thought was “what did I buy here?”
Then I plugged it in. Wow!! This little thing is bright!!
I mounted it on my bench top drill press and that’s where it’ll stay. Works perfectly for what I need.
I would recommend for a smaller drill press.

Wayner: I bought this light to use on my wood lathe and it has worked very well. The magnetic base lets me move it to where it is needed most. It is helpful to provide low-angle lighting when applying finish as well as to shine inside hollow vessels when turning the inside. I will probably buy a second one to use on my band saw.

COCO: I bought this specifically as a light for my bandsaw. I have an older model saw with no light and it was hard to see what I was cutting. The magnetic base is more than powerful enough to hold it in position even when the saw is running. The flexible neck allows me to get the light right where I need it although it is so thin and narrow, I usually leave it right next to the blade. I purchased some black cable wrap from Harbor Freight to protect the power cord from damage by being around a cutting machine. The light output is white and very bright. Lights up the whole table well (see the with and without photos). This was perfect for my machine!

Amazon Customer: We use this in a shop setting on our metal bead roller. It lights the work very well, and from experience, it would work great on a sewing machine, or any machine the needs close concentrated light.
