V. Rader: My husband wanted a portable lamp to provide light when he's reading the newspaper. I wanted one that was rechargeable but I didn't read thoroughly enough to realize this lamp is not. My bad. But we are pleased with it. Just received it today and will see how long it lasts. We think it's really cool.

Michael G. JensenMichael G. Jensen: It fits the space very well but the directions for how to use the various modalities are in Chinese, so I couldn't figure out the part about how to turn the brightness up and down. I thought the lamp was way too dim (something was dim . . . ha ha ha . . . was me)
I did find the English language directions to be amusing.
FOLLOW-UP:
I changed my 3 star "so-so" review to a 5 star review after I accidentally figured out how to get the brightness to go up and down. This is a great lamp - except for the directions.

I Break Things For A LivingI Break Things For A Living: The instructions I received advise against letting the lamp explode? I am not sure how how to do this. Is there a countdown timer I must continually restart or an explosive fuse I must remove before use? It also advises against letting the lamp rain? I don’t remember seeing anything in the listing about this lamp being a weather generator or rain maker. But I’ll be honest I am super excited about being able to generate rain in the house! I know it warns against letting rain, but, can you Imagine how much water I am going to save on watering plants, washing dishes and showering with my new rain lamp. I am also just a little scared it might explode while in rain mode though based on the warnings. I think I’ll figure out how to prevent the exploding part before I use it as a rain generator.

Theresa: I like everything about this product with the exception of it does not come with a wall plug adapter. I guess they’re too cheap to give you one, but you need one. I like the ability to adjust the level of lighting the brightness of the lighting. You can put it on a timer. That you could recharge it and use it cordlessly I wish that it came with a wall adapter. You could have so many more sales if it came with the wall adapter. I like the sleek design I like the fact that can fold up. But it’s missing the mark which is having the USB plugs.. other than that it’s nice it’s lightweight. It’s not bulky certainly not going to take up a lot of space on your desk or Gaming area. it provides ample light. We just need a wall plug and it would be great instead of just good.

It plugs directly into your laptop but if you don’t have a free port on your laptop it will plug into a port adapter . The lamp has an adjustment button that allows you to change the illumination to bright white to more subtle illumination. There are other features as well.
