Brian L.: I have used this a couple times now and really like it. It makes ice very quickly and I like the bullet shape. The ice gets better (more solid and consistent size) with each cycle (each batch when making a bunch of ice at one time). I am only using a couple times a week, so hoping that by letting it dry fully between each use it won’t have any mold issues mentioned in some other reviews (if accurate). Great so far and total bargain with my $50 purchase price! I also use in my office and it is vey quiet and non-disruptive.

Richard M. Hungerford: After waiting the recommended 24 hours, I plugged my new machine in and filled it with filtered, room temperature water. It's a noisy little thing, especially the water pump, but it's fast enough, with a roughly nine-minute cycle when set for larger "cubes." The "cubes" are smaller than what my previous machine produced, but that's not a problem. It is rated at the same 24-hour output as the old machine, and I can believe it, but the water reservoir is a little smaller, and the ice basket is a *lot* smaller, so I'd have to empty the basket every time it filled in order to get the rated 24-hour yield. Again, not a problem. No sign of leaks, and the ice in the basket stays cold for quite awhile due to some apparently very good insulation. Things may change a bit once warmer weather reaches us, but I'm confident.

Edit: Three-plus weeks in and it continues to perform well. The water pump seems to get noisier every day, though, and the ice basket doesn't always fit properly in place, and will sometimes block the "ice full" sensor. Just have to pay attention when placing it.

CWR: Would be nice if there was a water drainage valve at bottom to empty water before goes stale. If all water added is not used to make ice immediately the water sits in machine.

SD Consumer: Delivered in good time. Arrived in good condition. Very easy to install, just follow all of the directions and suggestions. I unpacked, placed it in the space I reserved for it - on the darker side of the kitchen with good ventilation. I wiped down all of the inner surfaces with a lightly damp towel with fresh lemon juice, dried it down and let it rest for near 24 hours in its upright position (you never know what position it is in while in transit and the coolants have to settle before use). When ready to use it I used cool fridge filtered water and the first batch came out in about 8 minutes. This makes ice really quite quickly, just be sure to empty the basket into a container (or ice bag) in your freezer and you’ll be good. If you have the presence of mind you will take the ice storage bin out of the freezer and use the ice scoop on it after about a half hour to break up the ice. The ice comes out of the ice maker as wet ice. A freezer running at 0°F will turn these into a block of ice without some intervention once the ice has cooled down sufficiently. When not using the ice maker, I simply turn it off. You can drain the water left in the well if not going to remake ice...

Tiffany: So I've only had this for a few days but so far it has been terrific. It's easy to set up and get working. I ran it through a few cycles after cleaning/wiping it out.

The reservoir holds a decent amount of water and I was able to fill up an ice bin in my freezer in...maybe an hour. Maybe a little longer, didn't keep close track but it went quickly!

Some reviews mentioned the ice melting quickly when put into a drink, I haven't had this problem but I think if you leave the ice in the basket in the maker you will have this issue as the ice will start to melt almost immediately. Either using it right away or moving it into a freezer quickly and this shouldn't happen.

As noted in other reviews the ice is "wet" because the receptacle that holds the ice is not cooled, to prevent the ice from solidifying in my refrigerators freezer I've just been moving the ice over after one or two individual batches (as opposed to waiting for the basket to fill). It doesn't get a chance to melt much and while the pieces will freeze to each other in the freezer it's easier to break up as you go rather than after its formed into one solid chunk.
