eufy Security: Wirelessly Secure Your Home with a Comprehensive Security System

M. S.: Last weekend, my detached garage got broken into. Crime is on the rise in my city, so I decided I should probably invest in a good security system. Although this brand may be more expensive than others, it’s well worth it. The app is very user friendly, and it’s a 2 step process to get the devices set up.

Recently I set up some cameras for my elderly parents which were some generic (yet highly rated) brand, and the process to set them up was too complicated for them (about 11 steps). I really wish they would have gone with eufy. The cameras were only about $30.00 more, and it’s easy enough for anyone to figure out.

My cameras are set up to detect humans, so stray animals or the slightest movement detected won’t spam my phone with messages.

I was concerned with the distance my garage is from my house but the home base provides a strong enough signal to reach the camera and still have 3 bars of signal strength about 40 feet away.

Amazon Customer: We found the system very easy to set up, the picture quality is very good and the range of the cameras is impressive.
There is also a spotlight that you can enable from your phone and a microphone.
Overall very pleased with this system and no monthly fees, we also ordered a doorbell video camera to add to the base system on Amazon prime day!

jeff: I struggled finding a good security camera system. I wanted cameras that were wireless and had wifi, but good quality video, and saw far enough. All the other ones I tried couldn't record things on the street from my front porch. This one sees far enough for me. It's SUPER easy set up, look nice and clean and simple, and they're good. The video quality isn't amazing, especially the further out it is, but it's good enough to see faces and details and license plates and stuff.

My biggest complaints I'd say is that the motion goes from seeing nothing to seeing EVERY SINGLE movement. So that's a bit annoying. Also sometimes it'll be late to alert me, so in a real emergency I could lose precious moments. Actually thinking, the app is the worst part. It's still good, but that's the biggest problem they have. It alerts late sometimes, it's slow, sometimes I have to close the app and reopen in order to see the events of the day. Also the batteries. Now, I have my motions turned on high for most of mine for many reasons, and they record for as long as there is movement, so I get it, but I get like 3 weeks of times on most of my cameras. Amazon Customer: I’ve worked in the electronic security field for the past 7 years. I want to start by saying that, because I’ve seen some pretty advanced systems for big businesses, that I won’t mention here for security reasons. That should help validate this review for anyone who’s unsure about this product.

Would this work for a multi billion dollar company? No.

For your everyday household on the other hand, this product is incredible. No hassle install, loaded with features, and innovative (user friendly) application interface.

IR - works beautifully at night. Quality is that of Axis cameras, which one of those cameras goes for about the price of this whole bundle itself in comparison.

Video quality - crystal clear, even when streaming and not viewing recorded. Pro tip, if your stream is of bad quality, download a clip to compare. Sometimes it’s network related, and real time video is not a good indicator of how it actually records, because that’s dependent on bandwidth. That said, I haven’t noticed a difference between the two, which is a sign of good bandwidth and quality network hardware on these devices.

KelleKelle: The good about 2C cameras:
- build quality is great
- packaging is great
- setup is great and easy
- the app is great and easy to use
- live mode is great with only 1 sec delay (this is really good). Arlo pro 2 delay is 3-4 secs makes live view terrible, you are always behind
- local recordings is a plus
- fast app with natural controls

The bad:
- camera quality is okay. 1080 resolution is just okay. Better than Arlo pro 2 in my opinion. Worse than ring stick up latest 3rd gen camera. See pics for comparison. Eufy 2C is showing every picture regardless of the light in gray shades. Ring is more natural colors. This is huge and I am not talking about pic quality. Arlo pro 2 for example on zoom is showing pixels. Eufy is good no much pixels but no details: room corners are not sharp, little details are lost, ring is the best picture quality
- no audio alarm notification/detection unlike Arlo pro 2. Only motion detection. That feature would be great to use in baby room without a need to buy a baby camera
- 2 way talk is bad. The audio itself is good but realization of the 2 way talk is bad. Same bad as Arlo pro 2. Ring stick up...
