Mark: I wanted a camera system that was good quality, wasn't outrageously expensive, and didn't require a subscription. This system checks all the boxes. We're in a new house and got lots of offers from the subscriptions service companies out there, but we did that before, and it wasn't a great experience. I like being able to set this up easily myself, and do it how I want. The only thing I didn't love was that they only come in white, but I was able to order a black silicon cover that took care of that for me. Just wish it didn't have to be an extra expense, and the mounting bracket is still white. At least the doorbell for the system is all black.

Self Analysis: Eufy security cameras are super easy to setup (a few minutes each) and rapidly provided perimeter surveillance when dealing with some illegal activities in the neighborhood. I'd had a hunch that more was happening in the middle of the night than I was fully aware of. After installed a set of cameras I discovered within a week that my neighbor was using drugs, prowling cars and menacing things at night, to an extent that it required police attention. The presence of the cameras now serve as a deterrent the neighbor who has been put on notice by the police, while providing a "trust but verify" level of security.

The Eufy security scandal came to light right after my purchase. So I was tempted to return them and choose a different brand. Eufy were caught red-handed with personal data on their servers that was visible by third parties when they claimed no personal data was uploaded. Supposedly this "bug" (or feature?) has been updated. I am always wary of Chinese software companies and am aware that they may be slurping up more data than they should. But the immediate illegal activity in the neighborhood that was discovered at the time outweighed the chance...

Corin LCorin L: Excellent Security camera, especially when paired up with the Eufy Solar panel (Pictured sunny Florida sky. Using it to keep a watchful eye in the backyard and it's been doing an excellent job. Excellent video quality, good set of AI detection features, good size and build. All around worth while product!

Thinking about purchasing a second one to use in the garage with it's useful spotlight.

Notes: Does require a Homebase 2which is where the footage is saved, the memory is sadly not expandable and if the power goes out it won't save the footage (even thought the camera is battery powered unless you have a UPS or other power backup for the hub/base (e.g. the Backup battery for Homebase2 battery backup. Also, Footage is slow to pull up on Google Home devices (Nest Hub, Chromecast etc.)
