The product does seem to work well… I thought it had quit working after we returned from a trip, it just needed a recharge. If the charge is completely depleted, plugging it into power will not turn on any light for about 30 minutes… And then finally you'll start to see something on the screen.

This blood pressure monitor is sturdy, easy to use, and appears to be accurate. The rechargeable lithium battery is a great feature. The user manual and instructions are detailed and clear, with the exception of the section on how to determine when the battery is fully charged.
The user manual indicates that that the charge indicator, which appears along the left side of the unit when you plug it in, is "solid green" when fully charged. However, the indicator actually has three green bars at the bottom, two orange bars in the middle and one red bar at the top.
I called customer service to clarify, and the rep I worked with was uncertain about this issue. However, to her credit, she did some research and checked the unit herself, and then called me back to explain that the unit is fully charged when all three of the green bars are solid green. The other bars are there to otherwise gauge the state of charge if you plug it in to check. There is also a battery icon that appears on the unit when the battery is low and needs to be charged.
