BadBearFamilyBadBearFamily: I bought for my 2 years old, so I wanted a book that would survive the touch of toddlers. He loves it. The size is perfect for him, but to small if you want to use it for a reading with few kids.
Sadly the book was damage inside the package. Also think that it is over expensive (8$) more than Canada or the US. It is hard to find English books in Japan so I’m not really that surprised at the price tag.

April Kelly: I ordered this book like 4 days ago and my 3 year old and me have read it only 86519544 times. I don't need to look at the book anymore because I know it by heart.

blooms: The child who received this book, age 20 months, loved it very much and when present with another book featuring the same catapillar who explains how tadpoles become frogs, he recognized the creature immediately and was very happy to see and hear about him again.

Pretty: The media could not be loaded. Where to even begin with Eric Carle's "The Very Hungry Caterpillar"? This book has been a cornerstone of childhood for countless kids—and with good reason!
First and foremost, the visual elements are stunning. Eric Carle’s unique collage technique brings the story to life in a way that instantly captures the attention of both young and older readers. His choice of bold, vibrant colors is just like eye-candy for the young ones.
The tale itself is simple yet profound. A caterpillar eats its way through various foods, both healthy and not-so-healthy, growing bigger and ultimately transforming into a butterfly. On one level, it’s a delightful story about change and growth; on another, it subtly teaches children about the days of the week, counting, and nutrition.
I appreciate how the book incorporates little "holes" in the pages to indicate where the caterpillar has munched through, adding a tactile element to the reading experience. My 5-year-old loves poking her fingers through the holes, making the story not just a visual but also a sensory delight!
It’s also worth noting that the story is quick and...

Amazon Customer: This is a classic children's book. I remember it from my childhood and now all my children remember it from their childhoods. Bold pictures, simple but educational story, tactile pages with holes, repetition - good for babies to pre-schoolers. We used this book instead of a card to accompany a baby shower gift. It was very well received!
