Dr. Richard E. Young: Ok, Epson has a great scanner here. However the set up is not intuitive. They could easily have paid the extra few bucks to have an all in one set up program that does the heavy lifting. But they got CHEAP, and made it difficult. If you have a firewall, protection subprogram that will interfere with the wifi set up. However, you can go usb cable which is included. However, it is only 6 feet long and there are no extensiions I was able to find. Overall, good product, once installed. This is my second. The first was purchased a year ago and is performing perfectly.

Amazon Customer: This scanner is a bit pricey for a scanner but it does Dou LE sided in one pass and is lightening fast. Easy setup to Wi-Fi and multiple computers no problem. Great buy

Phil C: Software downloads and detects the scanner fairly well.
Epson website kinda terrible to navigate, especially because they used the same model names just called v2. V1 scanner names pull up first on Epson website when you try to start out with the newest software. If you use the CD it came with (if it came with one) it might be easier.
I bought about 6 of these.
Software is simple. Scans are vertically straight and not skewed at all. Epson software also has scan cleanup if the scan isn't perfect.

Michael Levy: So far so good. I love the scanning speed and being able to scan a stack of pictures qui key at 600 dpi.
The OCR feature is also great for converting to Word and other editable formats.
For most part the enhanced version of pictures are not as good as the original scan but I'm interested in digitizing a lot of old pictures in the shortest time possible and so far I'm impressed.
I did try to use the cheaper Epsom document scanner but the scan quality for test pictures was not good. If you can afford the high price tag I highly recommend this product.

EDWARD J PRICHARD: It works great. Radically better and more reliable that the cheaper portable model I tried before this one. I haven't yet figured out how to get the button on the device to scan automatically without having to manually open the software (and the help document doesn't say anything helpful), but other than that I'm very happy. It doesn't misfeed the pages. You can put larger documents and that's fine. It automatically figures out page size. You can set it up to do double-sided and then tell it to auto skip blank pages and auto rotate. And auto color vs BW or greyscale. I wish I didn't have to manually use the software and go through several clicks to get it finished, but that should be solvable on the software side, so hopefully I can sort that out at some point. It also finds the dates printed on the documents and names the file accordingly. That's really cool, once you realize it's doing it and stop wondering why you can't find a file based on today's date.

JC: I generally do not do reviews unless something is really bad or something is really good. This scanner is one of the really good ones. It takes a bit of time to install the software, but the process is seamless. The scanner does scan at 35 pages per minute as advertised and it doesn't seem to make any difference if you are scanning single sided or double sided, at least I didn't notice any. I have been scanning at 600 dpi so I don's know if it slows it down any at aa higher setting. The documentation and advertisement says it has a 50 page document feeder but you can easily get 60 or more 20 pound bond pages in the feeder. One of my concerns was that almost all of my files were over 50 pages and I was concerned that I would end up with a volume one, volume two, etc. That worry was quickly banished. You can put in your first 50 or 60 pages in the document feeder and scan them. Take them out of the tray and put in another 50 or 60 pages and press scan again and they get added to your pdf file. You can just keep doing this and end up with a 150 or 200 page or larger pdf if you want or need. I had been trying to scan my files using my Brother All-in- One...
