kliles: I have been reading this series with my son for a while and we really love it! The characters are very relatable and the stories have a great combo of comedy, action, and lessons on being a good person. We also like how the superpowers are more than just the standard ones - so creative and fun!

This book in particular allowed us to see some new aspects of the main characters and meet some really cool new ones. And it left us on the edge of our seat for the next one!

From my 8 year old son: This is one of my favorite series ever! This book has a lot of cool secrets and a lot of unexpected twists and turns. I can’t wait for book 8!

Amy J. Riddle: I read with my dyslexic son every night, trading off so that he builds his reading skills but doesn't fatigue and give up. So as a parent I get a to read/hear a lot of young adult literature. I love the fact that epic zero is a super hero that has to solve problems by thinking around different obstacles for creative solutions. His super power isn't an easy button so it's never a formula for fixing a problem. At times his situation seems unfair, his family is all regular superheros, and this mirrors being dyslexic. Sometimes things don't feel fair, but you power through and that's a great message for kids in a modern world. Can't wait for the next book!

Val J.: My son and I had just finished Book 6 when I saw that 7 was available, and purchased it right away. I am an avid comic book affectionate and am raising my 10-year old to be the same. We have enjoyed following the adventures Elliot Harkness and his super-hero friends and family. The author is adept at adapting familiar comic book conventions and weaving new stories from the perspective of an awkward, developing middle schooler. He is also good at including a substantial cliff-hanger at the end of every chapter. I have had fun reading this aloud and voicing all the characters as part of our bed-time routine.
