Enjoy Clean, Fresh Water with the iSpring US31 3-Stage Under Sink Water Filtration System

AndrewAndrew: The unit is well built & it feels very sturdy. Unfortunately, it was missing the front & back washers for the faucet. I emailed customer service about it. The following day, Nick replied & said he would use express courier to send me the missing parts. I also asked Nick if it was possible to send an adapter that would allow me to connect to an existing valve instead of using the valve supplied by iSpring. To my amazement, Nick made the promise. The parts arrived a few days later. Installation was very easy. There was no leakage at all. You have to make sure not to over tighten the connections. I decided to purchase tubing from my local hardware store that had 0.17" inside diameter instead of using the one supplied by iSpring that had a smaller 0.142" inside diameter. I believe that made the flow rate better. There is no issue with the taste of the water, this coming from someone who switches from a Reverse Osmosis system. The only thing I don't like is there is always a droplet of water hanging at the end of the faucet after every usage. However, it's only a minor issue. I would like to thank Nick for his excellent work & all his help!

Winemaker Todd: We are on a municipal water supply, and the chlorine odor and taste seemed to become much stronger in the past few weeks, so I decided it was time to install an under-counter water filter. The installation process was pretty simple and just about anyone who has installed a faucet should be able to intall this filter if they read and follow the directions. All of the necessary hardware was included, along with more than enough plastic tubing to make the needed connections. Only basic wrenches are needed to tap into the cold water line, like those that you would need to install any water line fitting. The tubing that connects the cold-water supply to the filter, and the filter to the spigot use pex-style fittings. The filter works quickly, filtering enough water for a pot of coffee in a few seconds. These are so much better than pitcher-style filters. The replacement cartridges are also very inexpensive, so I ordered an extra set to have on hand, and set up am Amazon subscription purchase for every 6 months, so when the new filter cartidges arrive I know it is about time to replace them.

Matt: Easy installation. Got this because the water from fridge takes so long to fill a cup. This is way faster and way better water. It does take up quite a bit more space than I thought it would, but fit just fine under the sink. My only complaint is that the amount of thread tape that was put on form the factory was way excessive. It only truly needs 3-4 wraps and I bet they pre wrapped the threads in excess of 30 wraps and I couldn’t even get the fitting started. Took a good 10 minutes to peel it all off. Other than that it comes with everything I needed and was a breeze to install. Take special note of the flow direction on the filter. I hooked mine up backwards the first time because I was rushing to get it done before I went to work.

Borja Esnaola: El filtro funciona perfectamente y elimina tanto el mal sabor como la cal del agua de Valencia. Escogimos esta opción por no ser de ósmosis, ya que la de ósmosis desecha mucha agua y esta opción con sus 3 fases de filtrado nos pareció que podría ser una buena opción. Tras 1 mes de uso estamos contentos con la compra.

This was the first plumbed water system we purchased, and it was very easy to install.  It came with all of the components we needed and was user friendly.  Although the instructions clearly state not to over tighten the system, we did out of fear of a leak.  No leaks and the water tasted clean and neutral.  However, when it was time to change our filters, we tried to loosen the system with the provided wrench, but we over tightened it so much that we broke the wrench.  This was definitely our fault and no fault of the system or tools.  We contacted iSpring’s Customer Service and put in contact with Sean - a professional, attentive and friendly rep.  Sean helped us get the replacement parts needed and also gave us tips on how we can try to loosen it again using some heat from a hair dryer. 
 
I would recommend this water filtration system to anyone looking to reduce their plastic water bottle use and reduce the clutter of a water filter on their counter or in their refrigerator.  The plumbed iSpring system is streamline and produces great filtered water.  You get...

DIY Coffey: The kit was as advertised and easy to install. It's maybe a bit pricey for a bunch of plastic parts, but since you don't have to go searching for each individual part it's worth it. I gave it 4 stars because I had a small issue with the threaded connection between the valve and the T connecter with 2 disconnects. The threads did not mate well with the valve and I had to put a very large amount of Teflon tape on there to stop it from leaking. Just keep putting it on there until you feel some resistance when you screw it in.

Other than that the kit is great. I hooked it up to our fridge with this kit so we can get RO ice cubes. Our old ice cubes used to stick to each other all the time even when they were freshly made. As soon as we switched to RO, the ice cubes don't stick and are noticeably better - who would have thought! We have had the I-Spring 6-Stage RO for 1 year and we absolutely love it. We would never go back to non-RO water. We use it for drinking, cooking, canning, coffee. We even give the dog RO water :)

Also a general note, don't forget to completely drain the tank when you let it sit idle for a couple of days (2-3 days on my system). I've noticed it...
