This smart wall control is compatible with Alexa, Google Assistant, and 3-Way configurations, and requires a ZWave Hub for operation. With its superior overall performance, the Enbrighten Z-Wave Plus Smart Fan Control is the perfect choice for your ceiling fan. Get yours today with model number 55258!Matthew Horbacz: Great switch, but am temporarily giving 4 stars, since as of 8/8/2023, there is a software bug that occasionally completely prevents the switch from responding. even physical button pushes don't work. Only fix is to turn the breaker off and on again. Over the course of a month, this has happened 3 times. I called the company, and this is a known issue that is currently being addressed. Once they have a fix, they will push out a software update to the switch. They did offer to send me a replacement in the meantime. Will update my review once fixed.

W. Powell: Although the Zwave integration works flawlessly, I find the difference between slow (too slow), mid (seems right), high (did anything change? seems too close to mid!). After having for a year I think there are only two speeds: SLOW and SLOWER, and I am replacing this. Money down the tube! You would think they'd have the technology to allow you to set speeds for your fan individually, but that would likely mean needing more than just three settings. Manual capacitive fan speed controllers work the best if not wireless type (where speed controller is at the fan).
And the button pressing to get speeds (hold up or hold down) isn't intuitive, you have to watch for blinking LED and it's easy to go past the mid setting. And really, if you double click Up, it should go to the highest setting.

Zzz: These appear to be good fan switches. Recently installed two to replace Insteon Fanlinc (under the canopy) controllers that 3 out of 5 failed in 8 years. I wanted a wall switch controller solution instead of needing to climb up a ladder to replace the Fanlinc controller under the ceiling fan canopy whenever one fails… if one of these fails, simply replace it on the wall instead of risking your life climbing a ladder to reach 14 feet… these are simple to install, but I have 3 complaints… first is, the depth of these switches. They are about 1/2” deeper than my Insteon dimmer switches, and with this extra depth, you need to really plan how you are going to stuff all the wires back into the box to have enough room. You will need to attach pigtails to your hot (line), neutral, and ground connections, which may make it difficult to get all the wires back into the box out of the way. Second, what is the point of the break-off tabs? Just get rid of them! And third, these don’t seem to conform to the Decora paddle switch “standards” exactly, so if you are using one of these in a box that has another smart home brand of dimmer, you will have to fiddle with tightening the...

Alfred E Forbrich: Does not work directly with alexa, needs a z-wave hub, like Samsung SmartThings hub. Otherwise, seems to work well. Set your ceiling fan to maximum speed and then control speed by switch.

D and S Services: This z-wave smart fan control was quite easy to install and set up. It is convenient to be able to control the fan speed by either using the paddles on the switch itself or by using the app. I haven't quite figured out how to control the fan speed using Google Home or the Google Assistant. I also can't figure out how to change the LED indicator light from on when fan is off to on when fan is on. The instructions that came with the fan control say to tap the top paddle three times then tap the bottom paddle once. I've tried this several times but it's still not changing. I've also tried excluding the control, deleting it and pairing it again but still doesn't change. I really like the control despite these minor issues.

Tim Ducharme: Easy to install, easy to pair, easy to operate... also discovered you can reverse the led.. which is great because it's very bright for a bedroom... seems to not respond to polling by vera plus intermittently... Been like this for a couple years now, but still wakes up and responds to commands just fine. Also have one dimmer from same era from GE Jasvo that does this. I suspect it's just that vera plus now shows polling status so it's now noticeable

Paul Taylor: Works great with Home Assistant and an Aoetec Z-Stick - Only wish there was a visual indicator of the fan speed after changing the speed.

JR: Fan Switch only review: So far, I have installed four of these smart switches for fans. GE recently changed the model (new # 14287) so that there are three (not so distinct) settings as opposed to a continuous adjustment (aka dimmer). Each position is denoted by the rate at which the LED flashes. There is NO tactile feedback when you move the speed setting. Thus, you need to pay attention to the flashing light. This can be a learning curve for the those people who have not used these (GE Z-Wave dimmer) switches. As my latest installs are at a house still under construction, I have not yet paired,or used them with a smart hub. The planned controller hub is a Vera hub.
The older style fan switch (GE # 12730) adjusted the fan from zero to 100% speed. On some fans this was a problem as the motor needed to operate at a specific speed/voltage, otherwise the fan made a buzzing noise. But, it was easy to adjust the fan speed when controlled by Alexa. For example: Alexa, set bedroom fan to 40%. I have two of these switches installed using a SmartThings controller coupled with Alexa.
GE Z-Wave On/Off switches: 12722, 12727
These are great for creating smart circuits. I...

Ashley: This is a pretty nice switch with a modern look and not to hard to install. It is a bit on the pricey side and integrating it isnt explained very well in the instructions. The price and setup once installed is the reason for removing a star. Overall though happy with this purchase!
