Stoutchap: There are so many books written about this period of recent history a lot of which I have read. I am now trying to be very selective and I am so glad I read this amazing story. The writing style is easy to read and I will see what else this author has available.

iYvonne: Although we'll written, hard to read. It is distressing to read the cruelty of man to man.
Perhaps most upsetting is that cruelty of man to man; man to animals and man to the planet continues unabated.

Kindle Customer: This is a real eye opener into what really happened in the 2nd world war . I was young and lived in the Netherlands and I do remember a lot of horrible things happening. We then immigrated to Australia to begin a new life. Very frue to life ..

Karolin: I felt my heart being slowly ripped out of my chest as I read each chapter of this book 📚 I managed reading to the very last page. But I was nervous from start to finish. Dreading what my instincts and intuition sensed what was happening and what was to happen.
Reduced to tears and trembling at the end. I felt proud that I now know Edek and Mally and all those beautiful brave people. Who, suffered so much at the hands of a monster regime but who fought so bravely to the end.
Thank you for this book.

Mala, because of her language skills had become a camp runner or messenger carrying the Camp orders to various senior SS officers in command of different areas. The women’s camp Birkenau, was where Mala’s immediate SS superior Mandl commanded with ruthless efficiency.
Mala used her position to help many others whose lives were always hanging by a thread. She would often sacrifice her rations to help keep another inmate from starving and to maintain sufficient strength to keep working. A prisoner who could not keep working would be...
