Wander lust: I had a Flooding in my home recently and i had put this one for 4 days straight. Though it did say for 2800 sqft area thats like good SFH area but mine is only townhome with 1250 sqft and flood was jn one bedroom downstairs only so I had put it for 4 days non stop in bedroomand it did bring down the humidity level the bucket is bit small i had to empty thrice jn a day. I had initially brought the commercial dehumidifier on rent from home depot and that had pipe drainage and no bucket and hardly any water was removed and this along with blower did the magic to dry up the entire are in 2-3 days. It doesn’t make any noise that’s the best oart of this. I won’t say its that powerful as it say for 2800 area but definitely good for a small to mid size bedroom. It also has drainage pipe feature but the bucket one works great as the other one rely on gravity so not that effective. Just that have to empty the bucket frequently.
The speed mode and power option is huge plus to shuffle between day time and night time and i used that and still using it so get rid if any remaining humidity. It also has auto shit off feature that Was really helpful for to maintain the constant level to...

MaguireMaguire: This cannot handle 2500 square feet. My guess is this should be 2500 cubic feet. This is a nice humidifier, just not powerful enough for anything other than a small to medium sized bedroom or bathroom. I tried it in the main bedroom. After running all night it brought the humidity down to around 55 percent. The next room over was 59 percent. Granted, the main bedroom is a large room. If it were a smaller room it likely would have worked fine.

I gave it 4 stars because it's compact, very quiet, and would work perfectly for a smaller bedroom. I included a picture of it next to a standard box fan so you can get an idea of the size.
