Ms Amanda R MacDuff: This is officially a children's book, but whilst working on it with some children at School, I was so gripped by it that I had to buy it! Beautifully written, and with characters so well described that you believe you know them. Very sad and moving at times too. Equally engaging for both children and adults. Looking forward to reading more of Kate's books now!

Imi ❤️: My child and I read this book together and thoroughly enjoyed it . This book is good for children I would say 7-10. Some parts of this book even hit me with tears no books usually would. I think Kate DiCamillo is a very good author and puts lots of effort into these books. I have personally ordered a pack of her books for my child to enjoy and read again.

Amazon Customer: I initially bought this book to possibly use to read in class to the children at the end of each day as I was a primary teacher… I have since left the profession, but picked up the book from my collection to read myself.. I read it in one foul swoop! It transported me back to childhood and the days when reading a magical story left it’s mark on your mind and heart. This one has managed to do just that even reading it as a grown-up. Magical and beautiful writing!

Frau Bräunlich: If you only read one book in your life, let it be this one! It doesn't matter how old you are, because I enjoyed it as much as my children did. The story about Edward the Rabbit, who in the course of his journey not only learns to appreciate people but also eventually feels the love for others that he previously had only for himself. I have read this book to my children even when it was far beyond their ability to read it independently. As they got older, they read it themselves and even used it for book presentations at school. This book goes to the heart and is a must read for any book lover.

Jaw dropping
This heart-warming, gentle and sweet book will fill you with awe. It is a must have in every school library. Experience the one in a lifetime adventure with missing porcelain rabbit, Edward Tulane.
Edward Tulane lives with young, caring owner Abilene. She shares all her love for Edward yet he doesn’t give her anything but silence. During the story, Abilene’s much loved parents announce to their daughter that they are going to take a vacation as a family. Of course, Abilene wouldn’t leave her beloved rabbit; whilst on the ship, Edward despondently gets thrown into the water by a cluster of disobedient boys. And that’s when the miraculous journey began.
I recommend this book to nine year olds and over since there are some tragic scenes. As well as that, I chose this book because it is full of escapades and a sweet friendship-these are the genres I personally love. I love how authors give a human characteristic to toys and animals like Varjak Paw.
