Glenna: The most difficult part is getting parents to listen. This book shows how important listening is. Taylor didn't want or need someone to fix the situation, but to listen to the disappointment. Not to feed it back or to make it different but to listen. Thank goodness the rabbit was there to model this for us all. Another way to see this is that children love their pets and stuffed animals. They are there for support and love and they give the support by listening.
