Suzanne Kraschnefski: This brand is the only one I've found so far that seems to accurately measure pollution. I have a different brand one and it always just says pm 10 and pm 2.5 are exactly the same, and they are always good according to it. Whereas this Dylos says the air is poor a lot of the time.
I had one and it broke down. I ordered a second one. But I ordered from overseas, and they only gave me a US plug. There was no warning on the web site that I needed an adapter. Luckily I had the plug from my first one that I could use with the new one.

Every wood shop should have a Dylos! I purchased my first Dylos in 2014 after I set up my woodworking shop indoors. My Dylos survived five (5) falls from a 5' high shelf, before the fan finally broke. I tried to find a replacement fan, without success. I even contacted Dylos for a repair, but they never answered me when I submitted my request. (It appears the repair department is "different" from the phone sales department.)
Recently, (10/2022) I purchased another Dylos and decided to build a holder to keep it from falling again. The holder is adjustable in height over my table saw. When I bring 4'X8' sheet goods onto the table saw, I can raise the Dylos holder closer to the ceiling to avoid getting smacked by the sheet good.
The Dylos reads the # of particles in the air in my wood shop. I keep the particle count below 200. When the particle count goes over 500, I turn my ceiling air filtration units to medium. If the count goes above 1000, I turn my air filtration units to high and take the appropriate precautions (leave the shop, open the overhead door, turn on my 2500CFM exhaust fan, wear a face mask or put on my...

Gilles: Good, the fan is a little noisy but ok. Just wish it was possible to get more about particle information. They should update the display technology and provide graphics capability, no need for PC connections nowadays. Much move potential for the unit, ho well

Peregrine: Works as described. I can now see the increases in sub 2.5 micron particle count when my neighbors start burning an open fire outside and stink up the entire neighborhood. When that happens, I close all the windows and can verify that the indoor air quality is actually better than the outdoor air quality. HOWEVER, unit is affected by humidity in the air, so if there is a difference between indoor and outdoor humidity, results are not accurate. Unit is better suited for before/after readings in the home after installing various air filters. Large fluctuations in humidity will skew the results as the unit does not distinguish between water droplets and dust.

OC Resident: I purchased an IQAir Health Pro Plus a few months ago after suffering from a bad bout of bronchitis. I developed a variant of asthma which leads to coughing excessively when the air quality is poor. The IQAir has been a great addition to my home, but it bothered me that I had no scientifically objective way to determine how effective it was or how often I needed to use it.
I purchased the Dylos DC1100 Pro to confirm that my IQAir was really working, and to get a better understanding of what the air quality in my house was. The first week I had it I found my baseline particle count in the home was about 160,000 particles per cubic foot. The outside air was running at 260,000. In the bedroom where I keep my IQAir, my count was 30,000. So I knew right away I was getting some benefit from it. I was also able to monitor what fan speed I needed to keep my IQAir running at to maintain a reasonable particle count. Running at speed 3 was working sufficiently.
A week later we had a terrible bout of smog by the house. The outside air particle load shot up to over 10 million! I couldn't see more than a few feet in front of my house. I noticed that my IQAir was having a hard time...
