Durapet's Stainless Steel Slow Feed Dish Small is the perfect choice for your pet's mealtime. Our slow feeders are designed for easy maintenance and built with sturdiness and quality in mind. With its sleek design, this dish is sure to make mealtime a breeze.Pam: Other slow feed bowls were difficult to clean and sometimes frustrating for my dog. This is the 2nd one of these I purchased so we have one to take camping as well. It isn't your typical slow feed bowl but does work for those that only need to minimally slow down eating and is a breeze to clean!

silebydave: It is well made, we have a Labrador and they eat like horses, it slowed him a bit l have a plastic version with three upstands that work much better for my dog but I'm looking for a stainless steel version as the plastic one my not last as long

SamanthaSamantha: I am very satisfied with this product. I do not like plastic or silicone pet dishes so it was challenging to find a slow feed dish to my liking. I was also very particular about the size of the dish due to the pet dish stand that we already owned. This bowl fits perfectly inside the existing pet stand bowl. I read a lot of bad reviews for this item simply because it is listed as small bowl. If you're attentative enough to read the deminsions of this item it is not necessarily a small bowl. However, it only holds a little over a cup and a half of puppy food so in my opinion it is a small bowl. This item is very easy to clean and does slow down my dogs eating as described. He does still eat faster than what I would like for him to eat. But I feel that as he grows it will be a little more challenging for him to fit his muzzle around the dome to scarf his food.

Patricia Dubois: I have a Yellow Lab Husky mix. This bowl did nothing to slow her down. I also brought on as a gift for someone's dog. I hope it works better for them.. The bowl was way to small to hold my dog's dog food. I was a waste of my money.

JessamynnJessamynn:
My husband and I originally bought this bowl in Sept. 2015 for our Cairn Terrier (he's about 15 pounds) who inhales his food like he's in training to become a vacuum cleaner. This would result in frequent bouts of tummy upset and regurgitation, and we could clearly see that none of his kibble had actually been chewed.
The bowl itself: It is made of durable stainless steel with a rubberized ring on the bottom. Empty, it weighs about 10 oz. Both the bowl and the rubber ring have held up well to daily feeding and washing over approximately 6 months of use. The rubber ring is limited "non-skid," but the dog can still slide it around a bit on our linoleum kitchen floor.
Initially we found that the ring shape slowed our dog down a little, enough to prevent his stomach upset. However, the novelty of it wore of and it didn't take long for him to learn the lay of the land; within a week or so he was eating as quickly, or almost as quickly, as he had with a regular bowl. We started to have problems with regurgitation again.
We subsequently researched other "slow feed" bowls, but weren't really happy with any of them - most others are molded plastic or...

Quilter: This dish works well to slow down our race eater! I read where others said to get a size smaller than you think you need or the bowl is too large. This is true! I ordered a small bowl for our 50 lb. Springer/Border Collie. He has gotten faster eating out of the bowl as he has gotten practice, but is definitely slower than he is in a regular bowl. The bowl itself is good quality, nicely weighted and has some rubber around the bottom so that he doesn't push it all around. Easy to clean. Also helps to put a couple of racquet balls in the bowl so he has to push them around to get to his food and they fit very well until he bumps them out.
