Mark J.Mark J.: I have a host of 3D filament spools and like to store them all in dry storage boxes, some are used infrequently and I'll store unopened spools as well. I bought the cheap $2 humidity sensors but they won't register below 20% and can't be used for really dry environments. These moisture indicating strips are cheaper and more accurate. They are really designed for dry storage measurements. The only downside is they are hard to read and it takes some "practice" to translate the lavender color to moisture value. I initially used a lab grade sensor as a reference and added it to some boxes with a strip to help me understand the color shift. I'm used to seeing the mostly blue dots and can pretty easily tell when the desiccant needs to be recharged. These are much better at monitoring dry storage than the cheapo humidity gages and I highly recommend.

David O: I recently purchased some vacuum bags for storing my 3D printer filament and they came with cards similar to these. Those didn't change color at all after being exposed to the 60-65% humidity in my house for several DAYS. I bought these indicator cards and they work well and quickly. They start changing color within minutes. I also like that they are packaged very well and come with a desiccant pack to keep them dry in storage. They seem to be accurate with comparison to my ecobee thermostat.

Failover Emanate: I needed these along with the silica beads to keep monitoring the moisture in some containers. They seem to be doing the job.
You get a fair amount of them, as well, so you can place them in a couple of spots.
I'll update this after a few more months

John: the first oreder 'got lost' but i received a credit and ordered again...but the price had gone up! the spots eem to react to the humidity quite well, but the colour change is not terribly clear, quite suntle really.

Martin near Montréal: I bought those indicator cards to monitor moisture in stored vacuum-bagged 3D printer filament with desiccant.
They came in one resealable bag. I find they are best used when precision is not needed as they are sometimes hard to read (they are pale at times, and the color changes across multiple spots). However, when used as intended in a sealed bag with desiccant, they work well. The product intent is knowing if your desiccant is working as expected, and these indicator cards work in that context.
The cons:
Sometimes hard to read as it can be vague. Multiple spots are between pink and blue, so suggestive.
Somewhat slow to respond, but not a problem in a sealed bag. Moisture shouldn't change quickly anyway.
The pros:
Cheap. You can put one with every spool you store. No battery needed.

Bay: It does what it claims. Makes an easy way to know at a glance if you need to refresh your packets or whatever method you use to control humidity.

Big Giant Head: These work as advertised, I'm using them inside sealed clear plastic totes to show when the silica gel within needs regeneration. They change from deep blue to pale blue, finally will start going pink when humidity is well beyond what the spot shows. However, they will go back to blue again when the humidity drops below indicated level.
I have ~10-15 cycles so far, and they're still working. Compared with other hygrometers, these seem fairly accurate.
Using similar indicators in the past - be aware, direct sunlight, exposure to liquid water, and extended time at 90% or greater humidity will cause them to stop working eventually.
Also be aware, the chemical that causes these to change color with humidity is toxic. Minimize handling and don't have in direct contact with foods or items to be consumed. As far as I'm aware, having them in the same container at ambient temperatures - without direct contact - is fine.
I would give 5 stars if they had a "reference" printed on the card, as when they gradually shift, it's hard to discern the "lavender" point over time. I have other cards that have a comparison block printed for this purpose, which would be very...
