Curlyq13: Worked perfectly for fishless cycling my 5.5 gal tank. I did end up using a separate ammonia calculator after the initial setup which called for much less addition as it was based on my water's ammonia results. However I was able to fully cycle my tank in a little over 2 weeks which was much faster than I anticipated.

LindseyLindsey: Along with some beneficial bacteria, dosing to 2 ppm for several days, I got my tank cycled in only 8 days.
This is a 40 gallon tank, I've never had a tank this size.
I'm pretty proud of it but it definitely was the result of this product.

Amazon Customer: Fantastic product with easy-to-use instructions. I cannot recommend this enough! It helped my cycle a ton and I should've gone with this product instead of littering my entire fish tank with fish food and hoping it would do something.

Lee: New to aquatics- wanted to set up new tank asap to transfer black moors to a larger tank. This seemed to quicken this process

Jessica: This product works as intended. I followed the instructions on the website and my salt tank was at 2ppm. I never even needed to add more as it stayed at 2 until the bacteria got to work. I was able to complete a fish less cycle in my salt 2 in about 2 weeks. I now have 2 Darwin clowns in and they are doing great.

Eli: Right now i’m currently in the nitrite reading stage of the cycle. Took 2 weeks for that to happen. It also works way faster with a higher pH. My first attempt i had really soft and acidic water and there was no change for the whole month i was testing. After a water leak scare (false alarm) i refilled the tank and basically started over but added crushed coral. and like i said, it took about 2 weeks for nitrite to start showing which didn’t happen at all in the first try.
This stuff works. Definitely faster than using fish food as an ammonia source.

TeeJay7: I had a heck of a time cycling a new tank without fish. I tried the fish food method first, and got no where with it, just got cloudy water and bio slim overgrowth. Ammonia never showed up much in the water nor nitrites. I got this DrTim's , added it and well Ammonia showed up for sure when tested for. The cycling process then started and pretty much finished in about 3 weeks or a bit more - no ammonia, no nitrites and an acceptable level of nitrates. If I start another Tank I will use this again.
In the old days, I am dating myself here, we did none of this. We set the tank up, gravel, decorations, filled it with water, added a filter (charcoal and fiber) external or internal, added a heater and let the water sit 3 days or so for the chlorine to dissipate or added so many drops of dechlorinator. Then go a few fish and eventually some live plants. The only thing I ever tested for was PH and used up and down drops to adjust it.
I think everything today is made over complicated. I still see some folks on youtube recommending the old method, it worked for me, never had any issues.

SPLODGE: I had been feeding my new aquarium, fish food and bacteria but nothing had really moved on after several weeks.
So I tried this and the cycling process, really started.
Great service and product.
