Stuie: As a stage electrician, I’m always looking for troubleshooting hacks, and these inexpensive voltage meters gave me some ideas. My first hack was to wire one to a “true one” connector, which is becoming more ubiquitous for video wall and lighting power. Works great. Next up is to wire a set of old meter probes for super quick checks of AC voltage.

Bazza: Only negative is the design of the screw terminals for the wires. You cannot attach the wires and then mount the light because you cannot get the screw nut over the wires because they stick out sideways. This makes installation a lot more difficult especially if the mounting plate the lights are being installed on cannot be removed.
