Elizabeth IversonElizabeth Iverson: I ordered this book as a source of watercolor inspiration. The art in this book is very well-detailed, and has a beautiful illustrative effect. I've used several of the illustrations as "Mentor Paintings" as I am an intermediate artist hoping to improve my inspiration and skills. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to have a great reference for botanicals to draw ideas from. It does not have a table of contents or index, but the plants are displayed in order of some categorization and there are captions indicating the taxonomic species, for reference. I've included two of my sketchbook studies using this book as a reference.

Karina Bouchard: This book is very high quality with many very interesting images. It's helped me with unique compositions for my tattoo work. I love how each illustration is cited as well! I highly recommend this book, and any others from the Vault Editions brand.

PoppiPoppi: Certes, ce livre présente de nombreuses illustrations mais la plupart des pages sont composées de 4 images ; les illustrations en pleine page sont rares. Je suis donc un peu déçue. En revanche, le fait que l'on puisse télécharger l'intégralité des planches (265 images au format jpeg) est un super bonus. C'était la raison principale pour laquelle j'avais choisi cet article. Malheureusement, de nombreuses illustrations présentent une qualité qui ne répond plus aux standards actuels : ce sont des reproductions d'anciennes planches, ce qui les rend difficiles à imprimer au format A4 (format A3 quasi impossible) au risque de perdre en qualité. Le format carte postale est plus indiqué pour l'impression de la majorité des images présentes dans ce livre.

Jules Tillman: I love these gorgeous, high res vintage images. They come in full-page (8.5"x11") and 4 to a page sizes. Perfect for my needs.

My only complaint is that, because I use them in collages, I wish the images were only on one side (and the other side was blank). There are so many times when I want to use images from both sides of the book, but I have to choose one over the other. That's hard, because the images are are beautifully curated!

Otherwise, this would be a 5 star rating!
