JonathanJonathan: The frame is solid and I love the colour. I had one small issue connecting a guardrail (on step 5) as the hole was too shallow and the screw wasn't able to connect to the barrel nut. It was frustrating as I don't have a drill but I thought to use my screwdriver to deepen the hole, which worked, and I was able to continue and finish the assembly. I love the color I purchased and that one problem was the only issue I had but I'm still very happy!

DT: My daughter and granddaughter put this together in about 2 hours. They did a great job and experienced no issues. No scratches, enough screws and pieces. Very sturdy. My grandson loves it.

Shawna SShawna S: It looks nice. It wasn't impossible to build. But there were numerous dents, scrapes and scratches all over, and not small ones. And there is no protection for the kids from splinters on the bed slats, they scrape all over the top mattress and rain splinters down onto the bottom mattress. Is there something that was supposed to come with this bed to cover the underside of the top bunk?

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: The assembly of the bunk bed was pretty easy and we had it together in about 2+ hours. A drill was very helpful in the process.

The materials used to construct the bed seem to be fairly decent and sturdy.

The negative things about the bed so far is that it nicks VERY easily. The slightest bump with anything leaves a dent and and takes the finish off, even something as small as a button on a shirt, or ring on a finger. I’ve purchased stain pens to cover marks and they work well so far, but dents are still visible.

One thing that really bothers me is that the bed is not espresso, which is typically a dark brown stain. It is very red in hue, very similar to mahogany. All the wooden furniture in my sons room is varying brown colours, and the red really clashes, so please note when ordering if you care about that sort of thing.

Yvette Ortega: We ordered this for our daughters to make room for our 3rd child coming soon. We didn't want to spend much on a bunk bed because it is a temporary solution until we find a more permanent living location. We also didn't want to buy a metal bunk. Our kids are 2 and 6. We ordered the gray color to match the other furniture in the room.

This item did take longer than most Prime items. It took about a week, though it had arrived in our city two days prior to the delivery and FedEx had a note in the tracking "does not have to be delivered today." When it arrived, the box was slightly damaged but nothing alarming. When opening the box, we were surprised how exact the color was and the packaging to our crib/dresser by Stork Craft. Everything looked the same, including the tools and packaging. That set off some alarms because our Stork Craft Furniture for the dress came in broken, and was missing 1 bolt.

C: We wanted to convert the gym in our home to a children's bedroom for when our grandchildren visit (ages 3 and 5). We wanted a bunk bed that would allow us to maximize the floor space for the kids, but also wanted something larger than a twin in the event we had a houseful of company and needed to put adults in there. We looked at the local stores but didn't find anything we liked, and everything we saw was $500 and up plus delivery and set up...so I did some web surfing and found this bed walmart.com. It fit our needs, looked okay, and the price was certainly good. But if you have dealt with a WalMart store in recent years, you know how difficult they have become when it comes to returns or issues with a purchase. So I went to Amazon (my preferred online shopping source) and found the same item for essentially the same price. Done deal. I also bought two memory foam mattresses and the total delivered price was less than just the beds we saw locally.
Delivery was earlier than expected and UPS and even brought the (heavy) box inside. All the parts were there and my wife re-labeled everything for ease of set up. Instructions were good with adequate detiail, and...
