I got these to help with the swelling in my foot and ankle from a ganglion cyst I had removed from the top of my foot 4 weeks ago. It probably wouldn't still be a problem but 8 weeks ago I had an accident and ended up with a lateral tibial plateau break so I am currently non-weight bearing.

I followed the size guide and ordered the Large, my calf measured 14 3/4". I was able to get it on without too much trouble. I wasn't sure if I had got the correct size but when I went to take it off, it was pretty snug around my ankle. If you can't bend your knee or hip very well you may need or want help taking them off.

jaykey: stylish health aids! POTS be damned, these striped compression socks are comfy and not too thick, easy to put on, and comfortable to wear all day. Glad to not have to succumb to the dreaded orthopedic beige or white or black. Thank you for something that doesnt squish my toes, that helps me with my light headedness and fatigue and that looks great while doing it. The looking great part is nice while trying to cope with the understanding that I need to wear orthopedic support for my health... kind of cushions the blow.

Kindle Customer: I have four pairs of these open-toe compression stockings and really like them. I selected just the right size and compression for myself and they fit great and are comfortable. However . . . if I wear them for more than a couple hours, or sometimes overnight, my legs ITCH LIKE CRAZY. I have never experienced such an intense itchiness. I at first thought they did not rinse completely in the wash. Nope. It's not that. These are not inexpensive stockings, and I DO think they are worth the price. They are made well, and the styles are cute, which makes them fun to wear, as well as good for circulation. But I wore them again a week ago and am only just now getting over the itchiness that ensued. It's not just 'winter skin', either. This was happening before the weather got cold. I live in a relatively temperate climate.

Rachel LamkinRachel Lamkin: As I've gotten older I have had pain and swelling in my lower extremities. Inserts in my sneakers have helped, but sometimes you just want to wear flip flops. These are absolutely amazing! They keep the swelling and pain down when I stand cooking, as well as long car rides.

I love the open toe for summer, and have received many compliments on them, to which I express that they are compression socks. I wear them with socks and my kicks too. I have them now in 5 different colors and 3 variations, with open toe being my favorite.

They fit perfectly based on the sizing chart, and I highly recommend these cute and functional compression socks!
