Model Laura M Corbin: I take this 1x daily, with potassium 2x daily because I have edema (chronic water retention) of the legs, so I have to take a diuretic (water loss pill, like this one) every day. Always talk to your doctor first but what mine said is that with a water loss pill (for me it's Diurex Max CAFFEINE FREE 40mg once a day but this works, too), you lose water and also you lose potassium so to take 2 of the potassium for every 1 of the water loss pills to keep my body from retaining water. Another important thing to remember is to take this with a LOT of water. If you're taking this the same way I do, to stop water retention/bloating, you have to put back potassium after taking it (roughly for me that's 2x 99mg of potassium chloride for every one of these, but that's differentfor everyone), it's also very important to remember that if your body is retaining water it's because your body thinks it needs more water so it holds on to water improperly. So, when you lose that water, you must also take potassium and drink a lot of extra water too, which seems contradictory but it tells your body that it's getting the water it needs without water retention. Jessica: I use this for premenstrual bloating--and I find that it helps. Please make sure to drink adequate amounts of water as it can create a sodium water imbalance if you take it while dehydrated.
