Elizabeth Ervin: I decided to take a trip to Arkansas this spring. This is one of the books I purchased in preparation for my trip. It was a fun read. It was also very helpful in deciding what I wanted to do. Highly recommended for the Arkansas traveler!

Amazon Customer: We were expecting more like the old AAA tourism books. This told about the attractions, but no map, location hotels/restaurants. etc. Could have got this information off the Arkansas tourism website rather then spending money on the book.

A&M: This is the third book I have in this series. As with the others, there’s a great variety of things to do, from caves to art museums, from sports stadiums to natural parks. It includes major attractions like the Arkansas Old State House to unusual sights, such as Chaffee Barbershop Museum, where Elvis Presley got his hair cut upon enlisting.
The inclusion of GPS coordinates is a huge plus, especially for the more obscure or out-of-the-way sites (although the minus in front of each west coordinate should be ignored). I particularly like the ‘Did you know?’ feature rounding off each location.
The occasional bit of copy editing wouldn’t go astray (for example, in the Introduction it is claimed that Arkansas is home to the only “diamond mind” in the US). I also feel the book would be improved by the inclusion of some illustrations/photos and a map for each area.
All in all, this book is a useful source of information for things to do in Arkansas. It’s certainly added a bunch of stuff to my wish list for the next time I’m in the Natural State.

Severin K.: A very clear and concise way to find places worth visiting while on vacation in Arkansas. I thought I knew most of the top places but there are many I missed. Some photographs would help though, but still worth the money. I would recommend it.
