Edward Grabczewski: This book is aimed at the North American market. Temperatures and measures are all US Standard, which is a pain to convert; however there is a converson chart on page 174. The book has recipes similar to those in my other two Italian cookbooks and the book has fewer than ten photos but not of each dish - as I would have hoped. The layout is clear and the instructions seem clear. These are my first impression upon receiving the book.

Cheryl: I am excited to own this regional cookbook. I am only disappointed by the lack of pictures! The few that do exist appear only opposite the section dividers. I was attracted to the author through Instagram, but am sorry to see the cookbook is lacking the enticement!

HollyShort: Lots of easy and delicious recipes with ingredients easily available in my small Georgia town. Must be “down home” Italian. Lots of soups and comfort foods. Even easy, delicious desserts. Italian food isn’t all what we think it is in the US. It can be as mild or as spicy as I choose. My husband is impressed. I caught him looking through the cookbook and planning what he wants to cook himself this fall! Lucky me!
I hope this author creates more cookbooks. I will buy and use them!

Sherod Griffin: I would have loved more pictures. Other than that the book is great. All recipes that I have tried have been successful and the food was delicious. The book is easy to navigate through. The instructions are clear. The ingredients are easy to find.

Amazon Customer: Broadly speaking, this is a decent Italian cookbook with a good number of 'stock' recipes which have the potential to become firm family favourites. The author's authenticity comes from her Italian provenance and that many of the recipes are no doubt borrowed from or based upon those found in her nonna's 'bible' (the family cookbook).
A little disappointing is the comparatively small number of images given that the author is not only an accomplished cook, but also a photographer; although perhaps at this price point, it is perhaps understandable.
My other issue (as European) is that all measurement are in cups rather than metric or imperial volume/weight... I personally find this intensely annoying and my copy is in the process of being annotated with the help of the many ingredient specific 'cups to grammes' calculators that can be found online...
Otherwise a good buy and I look forward to trying more of the 100+ recipes over the next few months.

Stephanie Conchuratt: So far, I have made the Ragu all Bolognese, Garlic Rolls and the Parmigiana di Melanzane. What I love about this cookbook is that the recipes are not overly complicated, which works well when you have limited time but want to prepare something delicious for your family. The recipes are easy to follow and the result is delicious. My family, including my picky son, have loved all of these. I also love that all my favorite Italian foods are in this book. It's like she knew!! I can find everything I need in this one book. I highly recommend it!!!!
