Kindle Customer: The book is well written and has lots of easy to use features.

The insight into what to do in Switzerland, its history, its local quirks, seemed pretty solid to me, though we were holidaying only in one little corner of the country (the Valais) so couldn't really put the book to the test.

My only gripe is that most of Switzerland seems to be closer to other countries (France, Italy, Germany) than to other parts of Switzerland. For instance, from the Valais, I am only 1 hour drive from Aosta in Italy, or 1 hour from the amazing tourist attraction of the Monte Blanc 'Skyway' at Courmayeur. But I'm 3 hours from Zermatt and the Matterhorn. So it would have been really cool if the book had covered cool things to do near to Switzerland as well as within the different Swiss regions.

FlyingFlynn: On our trip, we read the Lonely Planet book first, for the basics, then went to the internet for more information. The book has most of the critical bits, but certainly not everything you need to know. What I liked was I was able to focus my internet search and spend less time on research than without the book. I knocked off one star because google was far better at finding restaurants than what we could find in the book.

Tara: Travel guides are hard in the ebook format, but I really felt that LP did a great job organizing the info and adding necessary links to maps and outside sources. I love the use of images, which isn't always prevalent in ebooks. Overall, a great guide for my trip.

Stan G: Enjoyed this guide with others on our trip. Multiple guides gave us more information. This guide geared more to younger travelers and those who stay in Hostels as well as anyone else. Some of the information was funny and we enjoyed reading the excerpts. covered all the information we needed.

Moz Oz n Max: I'm going to Switzerland for my wedding and honeymoon later this year.
Maybe it's because it's not the typical 18-30s destination, but it seems more difficult to find info on places to visit. This has definately served as a launch pad for further investigation into places.
Having travelled a lot I always find the Lonely Planet guides to be a good starting point or any adventure. I didn't use this for guidance for booking accommodation but the walks and routes in it seems fantastic and I've already planned a couple of expeditions around the via ferrata.

ESA: Got me around. Worked well. I'd recommend it to other travelers headed to switzerland. Photos and text worked well and small size was a plus.
