Rational: A very nice, handy little hatchet for around the wood shed! Unfortunately, unlike so many DeWalt tools, it is NOT made in the USA. It is made in Vietnam, which, while better than Red China, is not America. I deduct one Star for that.

anonymous: This is a great hatchet for any practical application, edge comes with proper sharpness for splitting, and the hollow carbon fiber handle makes it easy on the wrist and arm to apply necessary force to the swing.
Even if you are buying this for a throwing ace hobby, the light grip and 20oz front end are ideal for forward rotation, making this a great practical tool and also a quite fun game or hobby (when done safely, of course).
All in all, glad I bought it, good price, too quality.

K_Cudi: Not sure why I bought this thing but probably cuz it's an axe and totally sweet. Needed a little sharpening for what I needed it for but I still haven't gotten to it yet but at least I have a totally sweet axe.

W Thomas: As with most Dewalt products I've purchased the quality is what I expected from the brand. I purchased
it for campfire use and it worked well for chopping the wood for kindling. The blade cover slips on easily for when not in use.
