Deleepow 9V Lithium-Ion USB Rechargeable Battery Pack

kogdog: This is a great concept. Micro usb port built into the battery for easy and convenient charging. Great value considering they cost about the same as a disposable 9v battery. Not sure why i woild ever buy regular 9v battery anymore. So far so good. Have had for a about a month and have been great for my portable T.E.N.S. unit.

kazzieKat: My guitar has after-market active EMG pickups that were installed by the previous owner, there is no dedicated battery compartment, the battery was always just wrapped in thin carboard/electrical tape and set inside the switches compartment between the3-way switch and the pots...so every time the battery got low or died I had to take the back panel off to replace the battery...that sucked!
So I got these rechargeable 9v's and put one in the same way as regular battery went in before, except i also drilled a little hole in the back plate and connected a mini-usb charging cable to the battery and ran the wire out through the hole.
Now after a jam session I just plug a usb power-pack battery into my guitar and recharge this internal battery :)

ps. for longer gigs I can even clip the power-pack onto the guitar strap and connect it to this battery so I really don't ever have to worry about the internal rechargeable battery getting low while I jam :)

David Guidos: Excellent product and a great value. The rated capacity is almost twice that of normal alkaline 9 volt batteries, so it’s a great way to power those products that require them. They effectively upgrade whatever product they’re installed in to newer lithium technology. Each battery has its own built-in charging circuitry, and they charge from any standard USB port. A green indicator LED indicates the charging state. I haven’t taken one apart to see what they look like on the inside, but externally they appear to be of really good quality. The physical size of the battery and the contacts are the same as normal batteries, so they should fit in any devices designed for them. I definitely recommend them.

David Little: I hate 9V batteries. They are one of those little nuisances put into life by the forces of evil to make us unhappy and forward that on to our fellow humans. Since installing these in the wireless ceiling fan controller that eat alkaline 9v batteries at a rate of about 1 a month, my life has gotten -dramatically- <edit> slightly better. These batteries last for several months on a charge, and when they start to die, putting them on a USB charger for a few hours pops them right back to life! I highly recommend putting these in any 9V batteries eaters that you have.

RotoFoto: The Delipow 9V Lithium ion USB rechargeable batteries that I received pretty much lived up to the product description—except they shouldn't be called 650 mAh; not at the “battery (pack)” level. They may utilize 650 mAh “cells” internally, but the added protection circuitry limits the usable capacity to about 560 mAh. These batteries are essentially two normal 3.7V LiPo cells connected in series and housed in a standard sized 9V battery case along with a built-in USB charge controller with over/under voltage protection circuitry; …very cleaver. The charge controller limits the pack output voltage range of the two cell pack to between 8.4V and 6V (4.2V -3V per cell) which is all quite proper for LiPo cells. As a consequence of the 6V lower safety cut off, only about 90% of the potential capacity is usable.

Users should take into consideration that the discharge profile of LiPo cells is quite different from alkaline cells when using these batteries in their application. Very quickly after a full charge the 8.4V output drops and stabilizes at around 7.3 V for most of the discharge period, the rapidly drops off at the end and gets shut off to...
