Marc Bible: Very solid. Has several different red or green dot designs to select from and it has a very good range from bright to dim. Definitely would recommend.

G7: I just received the replacement from DD. It was perfect. The one I sent back obviously was a return. It had no tools, a battery was already installed, the optic was not packaged in a bag and there was no tie wrap on the box. The new one from the manufacturer did not have a battery installed, the tools were there, the optic was wrapped in plastic and the box has a tie wrap holding the box secure.
Amazon sent me USED and RETURNED incomplete optic.
This had happened before and I don’t appreciate it.
The sight seems sturdy and built well. I haven’t mounted it yet but have tested all the settings. Bright and clear on both red and green.
Problem is it didn’t come with the wrench, just a cleaning cloth and extra battery.
I hope this isn’t a return item but that’s possible.
I’m sending a message to DD to see if they would send me the missing wrench. If not I’ll have to go buy one.

JoshJosh: This is my second DDHB Red Dot. I liked my first one so much that I bought a second for my AR Pistol in .300BLK, and I'm very pleased with this one as well. Installation is easy, and I can put it directly on my rail without a rail riser, unlike for my Bushnell TRS-25 (have to have .83" risers with that one to co-witness iron sights). But these? I can just slap it on, tighten a couple bolts, and go plinking a few hundred rounds without it coming loose. So compared to the TRS-25, I save $10-15 for the sight itself, and another $7-10 for the riser, so it's a steal.
I love the profile of this red dot sight. The TRS-25, and many other red dots, have knobs that interfere with your field of view, and reduces your situational awareness. I was dry-fire practicing indoors with my TRS-25 on one of my other carbines, and the cat pounced on the laser on the target, and I didn't have a clue until the trigger pull had broken -- simply because the cat had been hiding where the knobs and smaller view were obscuring my field of view. Had that been a live round instead of dry-fire? Not pretty. I don't have that problem with the DDHB Red Dot, because the frame is much thinner and knobs are...

J. Caffarella: 8/26/15 UPDATE: Mounted the FieldSport/Generic on a Hi-Point 9mm Carbine and put 100 rounds down range. The sight was easy to zero and produced consistent tight groups, but was only accurate using the red dot reticle, which I used to zero the sight. The circle dot reticle was slightly off target, with the other reticles being way off. I'll mount the Dagger Defense sight and test it at the range to see if it sufferes from the same issue, and will report my experience. Since I only use the red dot, the other reticles aren't important to me, but a good quality sight should hold zero in all reticle settings. Also, I generally use a 3-inch target (aim small, shoot small), which is morphed by even the red dot reticle, the smallest of the 4 reticles. I realize these are for quick target aquisition, but I'd like to see an option for a smaller reticle for increased accuracy.
Anyone who purchased the Dagger Defense red dot sight most likely also contemplated buying the generic version, but ultimately decided to part with the extra $20 for what they hope is a better quality sight. I was on the fence, so I purchased a Dagger Defense sight and a generic sight for comparison. My generic...
