For some background and comparison, I have two other projectors. One is an Epson Home Cinema 3500 and it is the projector in our theater room and for outdoor movies. We have a ~240" screen we set up outside for movies. It works great for that. The other projector is a hand-me-down Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 8350. I’ve replaced the bulb in this projector with a non-OEM bulb.
Now, the upgraded DBPower Mini Video Projector is brighter than the Epson 8350 with the replacement bulb. It’s not nearly as bright as the Epson 3500. However, the DBPower Projector cost $70 and the Epson cost $800 new. Not a fair comparison.
This projector is easy to set up. You can connect it to headphones (that way you wouldn’t hear the rather loud fan) or speakers. You can hook it up to a tablet, phone, or DVD/BD player. With an adapter - which I plan to buy -...

Solitaire605Solitaire605: Due to a recent purchase, I was requested to also review this product & retain for my consideration.
A few days after receiving this compact projector I had a chance to un box, & take a few pictures & give it a basic review. The paperwork is a little confusing as it calls this a mini LCD projector, yet it also states using a LED bulb of 50 watts. I found the night output to be suitable for dimly (like dusk) or darker rooms to be sufficient for its claimed 176" maximum screen size, but it goes without saying the darker the better (as is with all projectors). I was even able to get a modestly viewable image from about 5' away from a basic wall in a full on daylight room, (but the image was also only about 40" or so). I used a popular streaming stick for my content source set at 1080p (while using the built in USB power output), & it was quite serviceable, enough so that I may consider it (with a proper screen) to replace my main 65" rear projection tv, & run it out to around 100" in my living room. The remote uses 2 AAA batteries (not included) & has good functionality & range to the rear of the projector. Sound quality if good, &...
