Da Lowrider: These are outstanding collars. I liked them a lot bought six or seven sets.

Logan: Been waiting to make this review until I had enough time with product (2 months @ 5 workouts a week seems plenty). Probably the only item I’ve ever bought expecting it to suck, but turned out to be truly 5 stars. Put them through deadlifts, shoulder presses, ez bar any way you can use the dang thang and honestly they’re awesome. My new gym has the metal squeezers and they’re total junk. Just hot, rusty garbage.Doing arm days as a lone wolf on bar dependent days was brutal. Example I did deadlifts/back then finished with biceps. Barbell curls, ez bar curls, reverse barbell curls, and then a wide grip+close grip superset as a finisher. Without a partner I realized I had removed the collars and put them back on something like 18-20 times - On a day I started with deadlifts and heavy back. My grip was shot to pieces. And as my weights got heavier this was becoming a weekly thing and starting to hurt my last few sets. So best $15 I’ve spent on anything other than gym fees this year.
+they look a little plasticy but I’ve yeeted them off some stuff pretty hard on accident and they’re fine. I have no worries about the rigidity of the body of the product. I beat them up...

Gary Goodwin: Sadly I had to return these clamps. I had high hopes based upon reviews but these Dark Iron clamps are simply too tight to fit reasonably onto my olympic barbell. I have a Fitness Gear 2" barbell with ribs cut into the weight plate ends. These ribs are great to help keep plates from sliding around but I think the ribs add just enough thickness/friction subsequently causing these clamps to not fit as I had hoped.
I am able to slid the clamps onto the bar with quite a bit of force. Once on the bar and locked I don't think they would come off no matter what you threw at it. Unlocking then trying to slid them off is even harder. There is just too much resistance due to the ribs on the bar. I believe that even 1/16-1/32 of an inch greater opening size would work for me. However it might just make the difference in a 1 15/16 bar working or not.
Unfortunately one size does not fit all. I asked the supplier if they had any options but they did not respond to that questions.
Good luck.
