however, they certainly don't seem to last as long as other batteries. by the way, that's an un-scientific report on longevity. probably will continue to use unless they start to really show a short life-span. not sure I can hear any tone difference myself.

These are a little pricey for a carbon -zinc, but I have to use them in a particular wireless mic set, the battery holder area was designed for the old Eveready silver 9 volts and newer ones won't fit because of the more squared case, these are the only others I've found that fit.
