John Henry Alex: I was, at first, very disappointed with this dishwasher. I had done some research and this very model is regarded as the best countertop dishwasher on the market. I use a top name brand powder dishwasher detergent, and also a top name brand rinse aid. At first when I used the dishwasher, I had to rewash most of my dishes by hand to clean up the residue of food stuff the washer left behind. Cutlery was the worst, as they seem to come out with more food particles stuck to them than they had when I loaded the washer.

I had exhaustively experimented with different loads and placements of dishes, and different wash programs including "extra cleaning" settings, but nothing seemed to work well. After contacting tech support at Danby, they suggested I do a "hard reset" and unplug the dishwasher for 5 minutes. This seems to have done the trick. The dishwasher works great now, and I no longer have to rewash anything.

I am now very pleased with this dishwasher and am happy to keep it!

ScotlandiusScotlandius: This little ("little") dishwasher is honestly one of the best purchases I have made this year. It's been such a great addition to the little apartment space. I honestly like it better than any standard-size dishwasher.

TL;DR It's an amazing little dishwasher that builds you a good dishwashing habit; with a little bit of work on your end it seamlessly integrates into your nightly routine and you don't have to think about dishes anymore. Pictures are of 2 different loads, and the plumbing I did.

So, my apartment space: a finished basement with essentially just a small bar-style sink, not nearly big enough for even just the singular insta-pot inner pot to fit. Washing dishes was always a pain, as they had to be hand washed and often the sink would overflow and splash you pretty good. There wasn't ever enough space for the drying rack, and definitely not enough drying rack to accommodate all the dishes. Lots of precious counter spaced was constantly being used up for still-drying dishes, even the morning after, which again was a major pain.

This dishwasher is just the perfect size for two to three people. We run the washer about once a day, and that will cover all...

Alex: Très satisfait! Fonctionne à merveille! Effectue le même travail qu'un gros ,mais en petit format. Je l'utilise a tout les jours et même plusieurs fois par jour. Famille de 5. Plusieurs mode facile a utiliser et s'ajuste bien en fonction de ce qu'il contient. Je l'utilise toujours en mode Eco et le nettoyage est parfait 👌 ne nécessite pas bcp de savon. J'utilise du savon en poudre car les "puck" contiennent trop de savon pour les cycles de nettoyage. Ne laisse pas de cerne dans ses ca là. Assurez vous de bien placé la petite vaisselle, petit contenant, couvercle etc, ils peuvent se déplacer sous la force du jet d'eau et bloqué le tourniquet nettoyeur du bas, ce qui résulteraient d'un mauvais nettoyage. mais même cordé serré, tout ressort propre! Je le recommande fortement. Même s'il prend un peut de place sur le comptoir, c'est plus agréable a voir qu'une pille de vaisselle sale! Vient avec le petit adaptateur pour le robinet.

Amazon Customer: I highly recommend this dishwasher! I bought this dishwasher as I don't have one where I live and I have severe osteoarthritis throughout my whole body and nerve damage in both lower legs that prevent me from standing in one spot for any length of time. I don't know why I didn't do this sooner. I love this dishwasher as it takes me a few days to fill it, I live alone, and it cleans beautifully. I tested it on rinsed dishes and un-rinsed ones and all came out squeaky clean. I use Cascade Premium pucks with Jet Dry. I allow it to sit unplugged, disconnected from water for the 10-15mins suggested and then allow the dishes to air dry. No problems with water spots at all. Only thing I haven't tried yet is plasticware and if the dishwasher warps the containers and/or lids.

The only problem I've had was connecting it to my water source as I have a spray nozzle. What I wasn't aware of, is that in the middle of the faucet head, there is a nut there that you unscrew and take out the filter and attach the dishwasher there.

Oh, last suggestion....leave the dishwasher slightly cracked open to allow air to circulate at all times - full or not. This prevents any kind of moldy...

Liane Le Tendre: First off, shipping was very quick, the boxing is incredible (with instructions on how to continue unboxing once you open it. It's all very well done. I am a smaller woman (5'2") and 67 years old. I found it quite difficult to lift it from the floor to the counter, not because the machine is heavy (it isn't), but because it is a lot larger than I expected and it was just plain bulky.

All the installation instructions are well written and easy to follow. However, they just say to attach the hoses to the outlets and tighten them. In the past, any plastic nuts I have used tell you to hand tighten, which is what I did. That was a mistake as the water leaked all over my counter, ruining much of the contents of a brand new box of Cascade powdered dishwashing detergent. Luckily, I have both a backsplash and a bullnose on my counter, so the water went no further than my counter. Out came the toolbox, and after a few small turns of the wrench, and I assume that problem has been solved. At least I hope it has.

This is NOT a small machine and it is not the space-saving device I had hoped it would be. With the benefit of hindsight, I should have bought a full-sized dishwasher on...

Chris L.: ***Update - August 9, 2021: I have now had this machine for over a year. I have encountered zero problems. The machine continues to do a great job as long as I treat it properly. I run it 2 -3 times per week.***

First off, this machine is super easy to install if you have a regular sized faucet spout. In fact, I could even hook this up to my bathroom sink if I wanted to hand wash larger items while the machine is running. I had this Danby machine installed in less than 10 minutes.

Second, this machine is very *LIGHT*. Don't be fooled by the listed weight. Shipping weight was listed as 53 lbs. However, when I unpacked it and lifted it to counter height, the machine only *felt* like 10 lbs! What a pleasant surprise. Often any object of these dimensions will feel heavier than its listed weight. That was not the case with this Danby. I was very happy that I did not need to struggle while lifting a machine of this size.

One disappointing factor: There is only 9 3/4 inches of clearance from the bottom of the rack. I thought I had researched this before purchasing, but maybe I misread. This meant that I could not fit my plates inside during a full load. That does...
